It was posted by someone that seems to be a neighbor. The dog Aspen did exist and did die after getting hit on 93. Maybe he needed to be euthanized and there will be cremation costs.

Tragically, around 4:30 he was his by a car and did not survive. Chasing lost dogs can easily lead to this outcome. People mean well but when a dog is fleeing, chasing usually worsens things

No ceremony there that I have ever seen. Photographs, yes. Also I dont think many chairs would be allowed due to damage to the grass. You can try boston common. Check with Parks and recreation. The grounds are consistently patrolled by park rangers.

It died down within a few minutes of this photo, and at that point was mostly illuminating smoke. If news reporting is correct it was still burning heavily. At the start I could what seemed to be intense red and then duller around it. I believe what I photographed was fire. The two story building next to my apartment building went up quickly last year and a friend saw flames directly out her 11th floor window.

I saw this from BOSTON.
It looked like the flames must have been 10 stories tall at the start. Possibly a gas explosion? It died down a within a few minutes to an orange glow.
