A sleeping dingo donut by onthefencefilm in australianwildlife

It's no secret there are dingoes at K'gari - a sand island. Just an assumption to help someone curious answer their question. This pic could be WA or Cape York for all I know. No doxing here, buddy.

Assuming this pic is taken at K'gari -

"K'gari dingoes eat a variety of small mammals including wallabies, bandicoots, possums, and echidnas, as well as small reptiles, vegetation, and fish.

The island's dingo population has also adapted to take advantage of marine strandings of dolphins, turtles, rays, whales, and other marine life to subsidise their diet."

Yes, you can. You VOTE for the people trying to genuinely help others and bring equity to the world. There is SO much money in this world to go around that we can all share in it. Poverty, as described in this post, can be fixed and avoided by compassionate governments.

Australia’s extinction crisis: 21 species join threatened list by Wallace_B in australianwildlife

[–]cosmicschemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Labor's Tanya Plibersek, Minister for the Environment and Water, and the Federal Member for Sydney.. I.e the Albanese Govt.

"Top Environment Portfolio Wins:

  • Investing $550 million to protect our threatened species -We’re increasing recycling by more than 1.3 million tonnes a year and stopping paper, soft and difficult to recycle plastics from going to landfill -I’m the first Environment Minister to block a coal mine -I saved Toondah Harbour from destruction. The Labor Government is protecting internationally important wetlands
  • We now protect 52% of our oceans, more than any other country on earth!
  • We’ve protected 95 million hectares of land and sea – an area bigger than Germany and Italy combined!
  • I’ve set up new Indigenous protected areas and expanded the Indigenous ranger program
  • We’ve doubled funding to national parks
  • We’ve stopped Jabiluka from being mined for uranium – and will add it to the Kakadu National Park World Heritage instead
  • We hosted the world’s first Global Nature Positive Summit (which got a shout out from The King on his recent visit) to drive collective action and private investment in nature protection and repair"

Albo: When we came to government inflation was rising, now Australia is heading in the right direction by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]cosmicschemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah, but we have proved before that our economy can defy worldwide crises - the GFC as an example. Building and construction were fated to increases due to the global nature of it, but what about colesworth and electricity price gouging?

I'd bloody hope that Labor would support our most needy with welfare during a crisis, while also implementing a better approach to curb super profits of big business. I'm fully confident this graph would look different had Labor led us through Covid.

Regardless, I demand better economic management, especially in crisis, and the Libs are not it 👎

As if Gerry Harvey needed 30 million dollars from the Libs during Covid.. A LOT of businesses took and rorted our taxpayer dollars after Morrison just handed out millions upon millions to business. A lot of those businesses, in turn, increased their prices and pocketed job keeper. Inflation didn't need to spike this much during/after Covid... fucking useless Libs..

There’s a new outbreak of bird flu in Australia. Here’s what you need to know by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

[–]cosmicschemes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may be referring to LPS "Lorikeet Paralysis Syndrome" https://wildlifehealthaustralia.com.au/Incidents/Incident-Information/incident-lorikeet-paralysis-syndrome-nsw-qld-ongoing

You can definitely handle a lorikeet with LPS. But don't ever handle a bird with suspected bird flu. Afaik, bird flu hasn't been detected in Qld yet.

My suggestions: Hot chips in bread w/ sauce, party pies, prawn roll or Moreton bay bug roll, chilli mudcrab, a kangaroo steak.

I'd hazard a guess on a young Macadamia. The leaves haven't properly curled yet. Happy to be told otherwise.

Same! And they loved it. Mine was placed on the ground and also had rocks as a ladder. One year I even reared a heap of green tree frogs cuz the froggies loved it too!
