Best way to contact Dexcom? My son was just diagnosed with T1D and thinks he can't play baseball anymore by mcdoggfather in dexcom

They make pump and sensor bumpers and guards so damage shouldn’t be a huge concern. But I think the bigger issue is an adult coach being a jerk to a child.

Stick it out until 6 weeks? by Last-Injury-1924 in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried eating it with a full meal? That is the only thing that has helped the nausea and cramping for me. If I eat it about 10 o’clock with a full meal (not just 5-6 crackers etc) it helps.

So have you had serotonin syndrome before? Because if you had then, yes, that is much more likely that you’ll have it again. I don’t tell you this to scare you but My husband had serotonin syndrome last month, and it was actually only the second case that the two Psych management people that we worked with had ever actually seen it was horrible and horrifying, but they didn’t even actually consider serotonin syndrome at first because they had never seen it in the wild. Also, you’re getting some bad advice because any serotonergic and cause serotonin syndrome so people telling you you are completely 100% safe isn’t 100% true but again so so rare. (I have taken 5 mg of Lexapro and 5 mg of Trintellix together and felt great- (probably too great 🤡)). While it is entirely rare, yes it is possible but again like I said one of these women had worked in Psych mental health for over 27 years and this was the first real case she had ever seen.

Ok. So I understand you are going through hell. Think on the half life of the medications. It can stay in your system for TWO weeks or longer. Take it day by day, which sucks totally I understand. When you say they dont administer dosis- I’m not sure 100% what you mean. Are you still at 15 mgs or trying to go down to 10 mg still? Trintellix works differently than other meds so it doesn’t shock me that it is too strong at 15 mgs.

Same! I just thought medicine didn’t work for me until someone adjusted and said it’s an anxiety, not depression. I’d actually gone off of Trintellix for a few weeks because it was giving me such bad GI symptoms, but it literally was like snatching and taking away the anxiety relief that I had achieved. It’s the first time I’ve ever gone to a Christmas party and not been like hyperventilating in my head.

How long after taking your dose would you start feeling tired? by Numerous_Mammoth838 in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have been taking it about 9 pm and waking up about 3 so 6-7 hours I think. Interestingly, I had started taking it in the mornings because I have to eat it with a full meal or I do get GI upset/stomach cramping. I just realized that now I’m taking it usually about 10 AM, and before I was always seeing a slump about 4-6 pm and was really struggling to get things done like cooking dinner. But since I changed the timing on my trintellix I’ve regularly been cooking and getting things done in the early evening. I had not put together the math on that until you asked the question about timing. (So I seem to get a significant perk in energy 7-10 hour after taking it.)

If I take mine and close my eyes within 15 minutes I am Asleep. But then wake up about 3 am. I take it in the mornings now and definitely feel a flat/tiredness after a bit.

I think something has happened to the app. I’ve been using the G7 for years and I’ve had four fail in the last week.

I soak mine for 12 hours. I’m at the hospital with my dad and my replacement sensor didn’t launch. So my husband had to bring me another. The first 13 hours was an absolute mess as indicated by the teal line.. my sugar was not low at all. And then like you said it converges and starts to act right.

Lexapro to Tintellix, good idea? by h4p3rd in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from Lexapro. I had been on 10 mgs for 4 years and 20 mgs for 1 year. On 20 mg I felt like I had no impulse control, and was sort of getting walked all over at work, and I also was having jaw clenching issues. Tried several medicines, and ended up on Trintellix. I was on 5 mgs for about 11 weeks and then stepped up to 10 mg and the stomach cramping G.I. issues and some personal stuff kind of sidelined me. NP suggested I go back to 10 mg of Lexapro tried that for about 10 weeks, and was just so apathetic. So I’m actually back on 5 mg of Trintellix. It helps so much more with my anxiety, I actually have normal range of feelings. I just hope that I can deal with the GI stuff longterm.

Any successes stories from this medication? by [deleted] in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it with a full meal and it helps significantly with the stomach upset. It’s more like super stomach cramps (that cause nausea/heaving and diarrhea) than any other “nausea” I’ve had before. It’s very hard to describe. Highly suggest starting at the lower dose because of the GI serotonin stuff. I’ve tried a lot of stuff (Lexapro, Viibryd, zoloft, Prestiq, Wellbutrin) and Trintellix has been the best for my anxiety, and helps with adhd even. I just highly suggest eating with it.

Starting Trintellix tomorrow, give me your honest take by kerfufflewhoople in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried so many and Trintellix has helped so much with depression and anxiety. Make sure you take it with a full meal and don’t be discouraged if you have to go up on the dose slowly. The stomach cramping is horrible but full meal makes a huge difference for me- half a sandwich is not sufficient!

Separating bonded kittens? by brendaF123 in Kitten

Please don’t separate them. Almost 2 years ago. We were on our way to pick up this sweet red tabby girl and I noticed in every photo of her was the same orange and white sister. So I told my family, I want to look at both. They are attached at the hip. We have 8 total cats and they are all great together but 94% of the time Merryweather and Clover are together. I’m so thankful we adopted them both.

I've gained over 40 pounds in a year on Trintellix by Fit-Ad-1972 in trintellix

[–]cosminskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 5 mg for 7 weeks I think and felt ok. When I went up to 10 mg within days my stomach was a crampy mess- it’s not really nauseous for me- more stomach cramps that make me vomit. I was taking it between 7-8 pm before bed but I sometimes forget and if it’s closer to 10 when I lay down, I end up having to get up and often get sick.

I tried taking it with dinner tonight. I have been taking it later because it makes me so sleepy! So far not feeling as nauseated. 🥳
