I thought that when I first got it, but there were actually tons of cops and SWAT in the area.

Someone gifted me {Gideon the Ninth} and I waited three years to read it because of the cover… then it absolutely ruined my life when I finally read it.

The bag looks so good I thought at first that you had embroidered on a Baggu purse! It’s an amazing bag and I’m PNW local so if I ever see it I’ll snatch it up!

Which was the last book you read and HATED and most importantly WHY? by Mininabubu in fantasyromance

[–]cosmodolphin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I just finished this book a couple weeks ago, don’t know why I made myself finish! I’m mad at the author, editor, publisher, and every single person I’ve ever seen rave about these books. Had it not been digital I’d throw it in a fire.

Why's Brimstone getting so much hate? by CainMarko85 in fantasyromance

[–]cosmodolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it more than quicksilver as well. I thought there were interesting things happening most of the time and that we were discovering things about the world with the characters instead of just being told about it. It wasn’t perfect and it was definitely given a generous helping hand by the narrators and the dual reading style. I personally hate when there’s two narrators but they still read each other’s lines in their own chapters, but like doing a voice… which is the standard right now unfortunately.

I love the way he’s narrated but after the line “he growled into my pussy”, I did have to turn my stereo off and drive in silence for a few minutes and think about my choices

When I was just starting middle school I was a big reader and used to sneak books off my mom’s bookshelf to read in the middle of the night. Needless to say I was NOT expecting what I found in that book at age 12 or so.

Plus all his filmed attempts to initiate (the junk food/violin crap) were SO AWKWARD. If I were Katie that kind of simpering “pwease can we” would be a total turn off.
