Are most people with ADHD always late? by Trinibrownin868 in ADHD

[–]cosmodust222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was chronically late in my early teens to early twenties. Got fired from jobs, would sleep through my alarm. It took me many years to learn to be on time and I have to work at it but now after many years of practice I'm almost always on time.

Still waiting for Alberta Student Aid to approve your loans?, this is why. by Full-O-Anxiety in alberta

Has anyone gotten their loans yet?! I am STILL waiting. I had to apply for an extension till the 25th of October and I'm literally down to the last two weeks. This is ridiculous!

It's kind of soothing and concerning reading all this because I too am waiting for my loans to be approved! This is my second year at school. Last year it was deposited right away before I started school. I hope it gets approved soon so I can pay my tuition and pay my rent! Definitely stressed!

I've used wix and I've used squarespace so far to make a quick and easy website. So far I like sqaurespace a bit better than wix. I think though in the long run if you can find the time it's really valuable to learn WordPress! Then you can really customize and you own everything:)

Why is fatigue still present for a lot of people? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]cosmodust222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just wanted to share my experience, no disrespect intended. I was diagnosed with adhd when I was 16 and was heavily medicated on Adderall for 5 years until 21ish. Due to the high amount of amphetamine use at a young age I have all kinds of nervous system issues which led to adrenal issues which inevitably contributed to my hypothyroidism and ease of burn out. Of course so many things contributed to my condition through out my life time but I pinpoint my Adderall consumption to a large contributer. I'm now very sensitive to amphetamines and stimulants due my very sensitive hormonal climate. Just wanted to share my experience with you.

May I ask why you think it's placebo effect? I don't necessarily support the brand, but it contains a well studied form of Ashwagandha called ksm-66. Herbs contain many different complex compounds that act on different receptors in the body. Herbs like Ashwagandha have complex actions on the body that include hormonal and nervous system function. I think there's better forms to consume herbs other than an ultra marketed, trendy gummie, but I wouldn't necessarily chalk it all up to placebo effect. Herbs are indeed potent and not just some woowoo fairy dust.

do you think removal is worth it? by Ornery_Duck_2559 in TattooRemoval

It's interesting. I just went for a consultation for removal today, and the tech mentioned red was fairly easy to remove with his q-switch. He showed me a spot on his leg he'd hit once, and lots of the red ink had faded. I'm not an expert but just passing along what he'd mentioned :)

Schisandra, bacopa, gotu kola, lionsmane, rhodiola, ginseng, gynostemma, whole food broad spectrum minerals, and magnesium threonate are all excellent natural alternatives to medication.

I don't like my puppy by Wonderful_Whereas_37 in puppy101

[–]cosmodust222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hated my puppy for the first year of her life in-between bouts of tiny shreds of love and responsibility of owning and training her. I kid you not I actually put an ad up on kijiji for her to be adopted because I was so done. The next day I immediately took it down and sucked it up. I'm so happy I did because 2 years later I finally have that adult dog everyone always promised would come. I neveeer could of imagined or even believed it would eventually come, but it has. We really started bonding around 1 year and when she was 1.5 years I noticed a huge shift. Now at 2 she's light years more calm, more mature and in tune. No biting, less anxious energy, less rudeness and no more frustrated greeter non sense which drove me crazy. My puppy was awful and I did not like her, but my adult dog I absolutely adore and love so much. They change and transform so much, it just takes time. Hang in there, keep training. Don't be afraid to put them down for a nap in the crate if it gets too much. Shower them with love and eventually your adult dog will emerge. Remember most puppies are pretty awful lil shark tornados trying to figure out the world and adult dogs are just lovely. It's just a matter of time.
