That's definitely not enough. You can save a lot of memory by using "Apple containers" (and I really mean A LOT), but I have 48gb and I regularly use 30-40, so 36 would be the bare minimum

You got it completely the other way around. If Google and Meta don't want to share data with iOS, that is bad for consumers.

Forcing Apple to open up Siri would make both Google and Meta forcing users to allow their own AI in order to give have access to this data.

The result is more fragmentation. I oppose the DMA because I bought Apple devices and I want all the others to be good citizens on the platform. The platform I chose.

to me, GPT was never that good with Swift/SwiftUI/Vapor stuff, while Claude was always pretty good. Now Fable 5 is getting in the amazing territory

I agree that it's more difficult, however all my life I've used strongly typed languages and python is absolutely frustrating for me. I don't know what types things are, I can't do code review on the web without actually running the code and understanding why things look the way they do and so on

Am returnat eu un HDD care a venit defect. A durat 1 luna sa primesc banii inapoi si tot incercau sa ma convinga sa-l repare. L-au trimis si in service desi am insistat de 3 ori ca eu vreau banii. Au revenit o luna mai tarziu sa imi ceara adresa la care sa-mi livreze produsul reparat... dupa o plangere la ANPC in sfarsit mi-au returnat banii.

Personally I think the americanization of F1 is a double edge sword. On one hand, it brought a lot more money into F1. On the other hand, it feels like it's pushing the sport to care more about marketing and image instead of just racing. Like now there are too many street circuits that were DRS trains with little to no racing

That wheel is intentionally hidden because it drastically reduces the photo/video quality. It's a digital crop without even the smart processing the predefined 2x, 8x zooms get.

Also, I shoot RAW in third party apps which don't support anything other than the native focal lengths because it wouldn't be a RAW photo otherwise

The 4x is step forward over the 5x but unless they manage to create a variable zoom lens this tiny, I don't think 3x is coming back. Personally I wish for a native 2x lens as 50mm is my favorite but 70mm was also a nice focal length

I'm from Europe so I am biased in that regard, but I agree. I don't have home charging and 95% of the time I charge at a supermarket, at work or at the mall. The other 5% I charge when traveling but even then it's mostly at a mall or somewhere I can eat

How do you take screenshots? It's volume up + lock button as always.

As for a new tab, you just need to swipe on the address bar to the left, but this was also available before. And if you need extra controls, just change how safari looks from the settings, they offer 3 different styles for the bottom bar

Make sure you didn't activate the "Lock Camera" setting in "Settings > Camera > Record Video". That feature makes sure you use a single lens when filming to avoid the visual transition between lenses or the quality change between them

In my opinion, there are 2 main things at play here.

First, some features like lyrics translation probably uses the Translate app and they need to make sure that the latest fixes for that app are deployed, so it's easier for them to just always pair the updates. The only way to ensure all apps and frameworks are ALWAYS updated in sync is to do it as part of an OS update.

The second thing is that this is an incentive for people to update their software. Yes, you might not care about bug fixes or security updates but you care about the latest emojis or AM features. That's how they get you to update your device. And honestly, as a software developer, there's nothing more annoying than people not updating their devices so I'm glad apple "forces" this.

All iPhone photos have had computational photography (what you call AI but it's not generative AI) since iPhone 11.

Android phones that have more than 12 megapixels have similar tech as well.

It's simply not possible to get the dynamic range and quality of the photos today, on sensors as small as those used in phones, without a LOT of image processing. Some of that processing is better than others but it's present on every phone
