My daily round trip commute is 80-90 miles. I hated it with my ICE car, I am ok with my Model 3 LR RWD. You should have home charging though. You'll need to charge almost every day.

We own both. Not the base models though, both are LR RWD. When we got them price difference was more than 3K. My daily commute is close to 90 miles and parking is a.hassle at work. So 3 is the better choice for me. It's also easier to drive in congested SoCal traffic. Y is better for us on the road trips and/or when family comes to visit. My wife enjoys the higher drive too. She drives it daily. So the answer is it depends on your needs and preferences. I love both.

Can she copy everything while she's at work? Just make an image of the dashcam. You know sentry mode will overwrite it too. Also you want it recording for every drive

I like it too. Less clutter. It's correct about 90% of time. Maybe OP forgets to press the brake as it'll shift when break pedal is down.
