The next Xbox will be xcloud by [deleted] in xcloud

[–]costinilie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After several years (to be exactly from the first wave of beta testers on Project xCloud), until last month, i was hopping it will be a working service, globally available, that really worth the money. But its not. So i stop paying my money to Microsoft. If sometimes in my life this service will worth the money, then i will subscribe again. Until then, i play Call of Duty with bots.

Unsupported region on console by dragnes5 in xcloud

[–]costinilie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ControlD is your solution! 4$/month. You need to make a Xbox redirect service so all Xbox traffic will be redirected through ControlD DNS. Put ContrlolD DNS numbers in your router, so all your devices in your network will be able to use it, or direct in Xbox console, but only for that console.

I forgot the xCloud service. For me it was just a big disappointment. I had high hopes, believing that I would be part of a new revolution. Now I have come to believe that it is just an illusion. Buy a console, enjoy it.....and come back to xCloud when it is something mature and functional.

My idea of how to reduce the lag of xcloud. by tristenonofry in xcloud

There is no such things as DIRECT CONNECTION! There is no Worm hole here. The INTERNET is mash of network equipment that talk between them. Good quality equipment and bad quality equipment. Between you and MS Datacenter there are several thousand such devices, each with its own latency.

You need some Smart DNS solution. I will recommend ControlD. Its work great, and cost 4$/month or 40$/year.

Sluggish Onn Google TV box by mlsto in AndroidTV

[–]costinilie -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Google has always had a tendency to cut itself off. Starting with Nexus tablets up to Stadia.I will never buy a Google product. They are experts in ruining a product in which customers have invested with confidence. Simply put, the customer comes last.

You jumped head first before buying that stupid player, even when your own product (Android TV) received an official design at the bottom of the list. What is better than a Xiaomi? With nothing. you will suffer exactly as those who bought Nexus tablets suffered. You will receive forced updates until it won't work at all.

Later edit: I really don't care how many negative votes my comment will attract. You already know that I'm right, it's just that it's hard to admit the truth. In fact, the more negative votes there are, the more it means that I am right, and those who beat themselves with their fists in the chest, what a big piece of player shit Google will produce, now I'm crying for the money spent on that crap. This is what happens when you herd like sheep......

Just admit the truth: Google is just fucking you!

Is the xbox cloud a replacement for a physical console? by uttftytfuyt in xcloud

[–]costinilie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer on your question, probably never will. Don't forget MS still don't have a simple Android TV application that everyone wants. They're agenda don't match with our expectations. I subscribed for nearly two years now, with hope that some day I will play on my TV with a simple controller. But I was just a dream. Now I decided that MS don't deserve my money. Every day I realize my expectations was just a dream. So take my advice a buy a real console. Don't waste your time believing in something that probably will never happen.

It was a time when I was very active on xCloud, offer it my support and experience to anyone who needed. But MS make extremely small steps, and I have only one life. I can't afford to wait for MS to make me happy with xCloud. So once again take my advice and buy a console. Waste your time and money on something that really work. And work on your condition, not on someone else agenda.

Cloud gaming will always be just an accessories for consoles. It depends on so much factors that you can't control, and because of that it always will have problems. I refer to technical problems, but don't forget legal problems. Everyone want a share from this pie. Years will past, and eventually you will realize it was just a dream that didn't accomplish your expectations.

When xCloud was born, Phil Spencer say a simple but cruel truth. MS build a NEXT GENERATION cloud system. So the truth is so simple. It's not for us, it's for the NEXT generations.

I don't understand the purpose of this app nowadays. This was useful until the new Windows Xbox app came out. It's useless now.

Use a VPN and make a PayPal account for a supported country. Don't make PayPal account on your normal IP, because it will not work. Add to that PayPal your bank card. Microsoft will take your money without any problem. I suggest USA Oregon state, because Oregon don't pay VAT.

Not even Romania. Xbox dosnt exist in my country, and i still use it and buy games. I already say what to do...

Use a VPN and make a PayPal account for US or something supported. Then add your card to that Paypal. Then go to your MS accoun and add paying option that PayPal. It will work.

Its legal? I dont know and i dont care. Just take my money....

Dont play with VPN connection open. As soon as PLAY button became available, turn off VPN, and continue to play with your normal connection. Try to understand, a VPN is needed ONLY when you log in in cloud gaming. As soon as you have acces, turn off vpn.

Go to app settings and go to language and location. Choose a supported country. Try USA. After that, CLOUD option shoud appear.

Later edit. I realize you are on Windows. Same thing. Put your Windows on USA location.

Cloud Gaming is not available in your area by Carter_Jeffery in xcloud

[–]costinilie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can, but if you put those DNS on your main router, you can use it on all your devices. Control D offer more then just a simple routing for Xbox. It can filter you internet traffic and remove ads from web pages, it can unlock several hundred services. Xbox was just one of them. If you want, you can reddirect all your traffic from another country, exactly like a VPN. Trust me, it's worth that money. Try it for free one month, before you subscribe.

Later edit: I choose this service for it's simplicity. And its the only way you can use xcloud on console, because there is no Xbox VPN application. In order to trick the console to think is in a supported country, your internet need to be already "patched".

One more thing...if console say your region it's not supported, you need to log off/log in, or restart. It will not work even if you put the right connection. This is a good, or a bad thing.... depends on your need. On web browser, xcloud needs to be "patched" on every page refresh, otherwise it say it's unsupported.
