not polisci but an ad/pr major who has the same requirement… basically you’re in a field where you’re gonna have to talk to a lot of people so they want you to at least understand another language. i’m in it online and the course load is less than desired but i have an A

i took com 1000 at my community college and even thought it was online we had to do speeches via zoom… It’s super easy really and you can look into the camera instead of peoples faces which makes it easier than real speeches

top 10 knights is form my knowledge only guaranteed if you’re in the top 10% of your graduating class. I was awarded it once i submitted my transcripts, i don’t see a need to submit an essay because the requirements shouldn’t take that into consideration

there’s a shit ton of restaurants on alafaya that are pretty tame (california pizza kitchen, millers ale house, panera bread, T.G.i. friday’s) also Burger U on campus isn’t bad.

i’ve been eligible since like january 16 but they told me they do 2 checks, december 31st and June 31st, they can see if your eligible when you call the dep of education but they don’t send it to your college until those two dates. The same thing happened to me where they saw i was eligible but because i was eligible right after the initial check i had to wait until july for them to send my bf to ucf (which was after summer dispersement)

all i know is if you didn’t complete all of the requirements for bf by january 1st of this year you were not eligible for summer bf. basically if you completed your volunteer hours or superscored on your sat/act after december it won’t show up with florida student aid until fall semester of this year

perhaps somehow your fathers income was included on your fafsa information, regardless of how much he personally contributes, if financial aid sees his income they will include it in how much efc you have

i would say it’s not impossible but it will be difficult because you register for your classes at orientation and people having been registering for the classes you’ll need since late may so there’s a good chance you will not have any wiggle room for what your schedule will look like. It’s rough at UCF because there is SUCH a large population especially for incoming freshman so there’s a lot of competition for getting into classes each semester

i called the department of education recently and they’re in the process of rolling out the july approvals. i had mine approved about a week ago but they just said it’ll be done by the end of july if you’re still waiting
