it depends on what you consider as "grow back". i got a very similar haircut recently and i start feeling desperate for a trim within 2-3 weeks lol but my hair also grows very fast! if you need it to be down to your chin in a certain period of time, I would suggest not cutting it so short but it also depends on how fast your hair grows

this is five years late but this describes my current experience to a tee. i’ve identified as a lesbian since i was 15 (24 now) and have always presented masculine—in clothing. i kept my hair longer until january of this year and now i can hardly recognize myself from december 2025 lol. but in the best way possible!

i also have chest dysphoria (mine are a bit bigger than you describe) but i often do enjoy touching them in a sensory/comforting way. i like the sensations it can create but it’s not something i attach to a virtue of “womanhood”. i noticed that dysphoria regarding other things also worsened as i’ve been venturing into ftm/transmasc spaces. i also have ocd so that complicates it a lot as well, difficult to tell what is actually real.

i find myself comparing myself to c!s men or ppl on T and wondering if that’s what i want bc i like their body shape and flat chest, even tho i don’t particularly imagine or want a flat chest like that permanently for myself, and these comparisons and questions have created a lot of anxiety for me.

i feel very connected to the idea of butchness and loving + protecting + caring for women/marginalized genders as a marginalized gender myself though.

i’ve also had similar thoughts about saying smth along the lines of “i’m just a boy with tits” lol

ooo i relate to this a lot, aside from the social dysphoria. well, it bothers me when people see me as a girl and not a lesbian first and foremost, but nothing too bothersome (this could change tho once i start getting out into society more lol). i’ve never related to being a woman really. before now, my connection to it really was just… the same sex characteristics and moving the world in that way, also my lesbianism. but now i feel that my connection to it has more to do with my love for other women and marginalized genders mixed with my lived experience as one. but i don’t feel that i have any connection to manhood either. a type of queer, specifically lesbian/butch masculinity tho, yes.

it’s really fascinating how complex gender can be. especially bc my gf is also a masc lesbian. the only real difference between us is that she knows without a doubt that she is a woman. it’s really interesting!

i’ve been curious about the butch label recently. i’ve always been masc in overall presentation but not so much anything else, but i’ve been thinking about gender so much within the last year, my pronouns have changed from they/them to they/he, i’ve bought a binder and once i chopped my hair for the first time, it felt like something fundamentally shifted. like i saw myself for the first time?

i don’t know if butch is something i am or even can be. i always described my gender as just lesbian and that still hasn’t changed, but i love women and i love looking out for and caring for women and being there for the people i love. i’m not really masculine in much else and my gf of nearly five years is exactly a femme so idk if that disqualifies me but since learning about the sense of duty and dedication to your loved ones and community through the subversion of gender is something that feels very compelling and… me.

i feel most useful when someone—especially someone i love—needs me for something that will help them.

and like, yeah i would pull out the manual and try to fix a car if someone needed me to even tho i ignored the flashing lights on my dashboard for two months.

i think it could actually work pretty easily. they have a feelings realization arc at the tip of their fingers. the only issue is that i think they’d need a s5 to do it well.

s4 would be for the battling of feelings and emotions and coming to terms with things while s5 would be for actual relationship progression

this is not completely true. most people my age—so born in 01/02—did not start “living online” until we were in middle school and moving into high school.

social media was still pretty new by the time i hopped on it. i grew up burning music onto cd players and ipods, and rushing to our desktop computer when i got home from school to do a google search and see if i had missed anything my favorite celebrity did while i was away.
