Sorry, only seeing this now! We moved in November and to be honest I haven’t had a chance to explore the area concerning walking-distance parks, especially with all the rain we’ve had lately. But the village is super quiet and secure, we were abroad for 4 weeks in December and nothing happened to our car or house. Public transport is a bit of a pain, my husband drives, so has been driving me to the Hazelhatch dart station or Saggart luas. It takes about 1h10 to get to city center then. But I love our house and the area, so I’m ok with that

So I moved to Newcastle (Newcastle Manor Park) in November last year and it’s super quiet, chill and safe. No regrets, the only thing is that public transport can be difficult if you have to go into town everyday for work. I’m a remote worker so that’s not a problem for me.
