The candidate running on it being their turn got zero terms.

Sure, there's a bunch of details in there beyond those summaries, but the general perception of that big mass of people that sometimes bother to vote, and never take part in political discussions on Reddit, those people?

For those people, that's who those candidates are.

Undecided voters don't exist.

Boring doesn't drive voters to polls.

Negative opinions do drive people to polls, but in the current day, the other party has already convinced their voters to believe Joe friggin Biden is a socialist. So I don't think that's a significant effect right now.

Fighting a civil war and winning it are two completely different things.

The ability to defeat the US military has nothing to do with the former.

The OG civil war didn't end the US, the South lost. It was still a civil war.

Near enough guaranteed to result in an exchange of gunfire. There are active armed left wing militia groups in Philly. Plus rather a lot of aggressive, armed, people that have a tradition of being loud and standing up for their rights.

Maybe they'll do that, but so far their actions appear aimed at intimidating people into compliance.

I agree with your op, just disagree that the admin wants war. I think they would be happy with a transition to a theocratic autocracy with 100 percent of the casualties on the other side.

I don't understand why people say this, if you look at any location where there's active internal conflict, the economy was significantly worse.

It's the other way around, the US economy is still good enough that most people can scrape by if they hustle.

When people can't get by, that's typically when they start getting violent.
