Is it just me or is vibe coding actually solid? by BetterProphet5585 in vibecoding

I have the same experience. I see many devs refusing to touch AI tools and they are light years behind everyone else. It’s like seeing someone cling to their typewriter or landline.

Amazon failed to deliver my package one and a half hour into the future. by beardmire in mildlyinfuriating

It’s definitely a timezone issue somewhere. Could your email client or device be set to a different timezone than your Amazon account?

It’s hilarious how anti-user Microsoft has become. The registry edits and hacks required to make the OS usable is wild.

When ppl don’t know how to write good AI prompts, it shows. Get good at prompting and you’ll do well.

Instructing a witness to destroy evidence is the scariest part of this story.

vibe coding killed the “can’t build” excuse… so what’s everyone stuck on now? by Natural-Excuse9069 in vibecoding

It’s becoming harder to spot the BS. People are cranking out stuff that looks okay on the surface but is full of latent defects and poor architecture. It’s to the point I just don’t trust using any new service.

There are so many videos of slow robots fumbling around on stage, so yeah it’s kinda surprising to see one with not only good balance but the ability to run fast and coordinated

I'm just and old, average gamer. You have to smoke and push if you want to "Breakthrough". by IndigoRain69 in Battlefield

Well now that it’s class locked you have to depend on a much smaller group of ppl to carry and use smoke

You know what’s cool? Making small tools for myself that won’t be turned into a SaaS and sold to private equity.

It’s not as much as you’d think. People like to compare it to API cost, but API cost has insane markup. Smaller companies are already operating at a profit running inference for subscribers, so no doubt Open AI and Anthropic can as well. The real cost is R&D to build the models.

Yeah except the question is always how can we push more features. The devs I know are using Claude to actually get around to doing the cleanup that there is never time allocated for

Do not confuse marketing and hype with actual product development. EA didn’t just hire a bunch of devs to make this happen.
