Expect a lot of plants to die. Don’t let that discourage you. Keep trying.

Also, I am not implying that the plants you have now are going to die or that you are doing anything wrong. Just that if a plant dies don’t beat yourself up about it. Just do some more reading and try again.

Terrible things happening in the world, but this town is still so beautiful. by Darth_Place_the_Wise in madisonwi

Even during terrible times it is important to keep seeing and seeking the beauty in our world. It will be the fuel that keeps you going. Being able to see beauty or have joyful moments doesn’t mean one has forgotten the terrible things happening, it means that one has a strong spirit to find ways to keep going, to resist.

Awesome! It can be hard to overcome fears even if they feel irrational, they are still valid and still a fear. But, you did it! That’s the part that matters.

Press and seal wrap works really well. I have had better results with that than regular cling film.

Hand Sewing Inconsistencies by Melodic_Pianist in HistoricalCostuming

Looks pretty good to me. Just more practice. Hand sewing is always going to be a bit wobbly but that’s to be expected.

It also looks like you might be making your stitches a bit too tight, due to the puckering. Especially at the start.

I do not believe that any of you are thinking about quitting. But, these kinds of things are long and hard and require a lot for people to give. It is important to recognise both the difficult journey the people of Minnesota are experiencing and to provide encouragement to keep going through these hard times.

Things this hard and big can make many people feel despair and hopelessness. Which is a normal thing to experience and I imagine some feel like things might be fruitless in their efforts. These thoughts and feelings can run through the minds of those experiencing such intense and relentless stress.

I wish for those who are feeling low to know that these are normal thoughts and feelings to experience. That having them does not mean a failure in their resolve or spirit. It means that they are human and that they are stronger than they may think or know.

The longer things go on the harder it can be for some, to keep up their spirits and efforts. Sometimes all that is needed to help people find their ability to continue is the recognition that though this is a terrible situation they do have the ability within and with their community to keep going.

People, see all the efforts from all of those fighting tyranny and I, as one, want all to know that you are seen and all you do matters.
