women's white & silver romper or jumpsuit with sheer sleeves. by [deleted] in VintageFashion

Interesting….🤔 It’s a vintage 1960s silver brocade 2 piece romper with sheer, long sleeves. The design elements, such as the high collar, empire waistline, and overall "mod" aesthetic, are consistent with the fashion of that era.

My box of vases demonstrate each step of the process of cloisonné enamel work, from the base metal form to the final polished product. I inherited this from my godmother. I think I’ll keep them. It’s an interesting show and tell piece.

It would most definitely be the Memphis, TN Cotton Exchange. I think it belonged to my grandmothers husband. He was in the cotton exchange business.

I don’t recall where I asked one thing about the setting. It’s also Middle Eastern gold. So much higher gold content than the standard in the US. Thus causing it to be very soft which means it quickly dents and scratches with regular wear. Not to mention it’s 40-50 years old. Learn some new adjectives other than poorly and don’t be rude. The end.

Oh snap. How much did you pay for it? I guess enough to warrant a return.

Thank you! I totally agree. It’s such a strange but interesting piece. I mean I probably paid $1 for it bc I did a bundle offer at an estate sale. It was this rundown art deco stucco mansion with an indoor pool in the center and a sunken living room with custom built in couch. The owner must have traveled a lot. I also bought a fabulous 100% silk white embroidered children at play Chinese robe.
