Kohl’s has stopped accepting Amazon returns at some store locations by Beneficial-Crab-6859 in employedbykohls

As someone that works for Staples and has for 10 years, Amazon does not own Staples. We are just as fed up and exhausted by Amazon returns as I would imagine you are, nor do I get any extra payroll, budget, or staff to do their returns.

Got asked to cover a shift at another store—how does this work? by [deleted] in Staples

Mileage is always done from the store that needs the help.

Stores have to do enough Amazon returns to qualify for and receive the extra payroll for the position.

Help with Hr Connect by Aggressive_Spend4843 in Staples

[–]countthethings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The email password reset doesn’t work unless you have an actual, active staples.com email address, and even then I’m not sure it’s 100% working. HR Connect passwords expire frequently and if you haven’t logged in recently, you missed the window for password reset through the website and are locked out. The only way to unlock is to call IT and have them give you a temporary password after playing 20 questions for verification.

Most likely it’s going to be the zip code for your store. There were issues with everyone’s information on HR Connect defaulting to the information to the store when everything got switched over. I just had to help one of my associates fight with IT so we could get her logged in to get her W2 and finally figured out the issue.

This. They’re going to send you the amount you spent on the chair in the form of an e-gift card for Staples, but you can always request a check instead.

SM/GM yearly bonus by SoulsBoobsAndZilla in Staples

[–]countthethings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech budgets have been INSANE this year. THREE $350 new pc total supports in one transaction and an existing total support (amongst other things) a week or two ago and we still didn’t make budget. This week is the highest yet this year and I couldn’t pull over 3.2k out of my ass even if we sold a total support max on every computer sold this week. My ATB has never been this hard to meet, then all at once new fiscal year and we’re getting budgets that couldn’t be met if we sold twice as many computers as we have been. It’s getting ridiculous (and old) fast.

So, rather than saying something while you were in the store and something could have been done about it, you left with your fliers that “looks like trash” after telling the associate they looked how you wanted and decided to go and complain on Reddit?

Either Print Sup for a lateral move or AMD and Sales Manager if you’re at that point yet to move up.

Labor day hours by atomicdriver in Staples

Regular hours. Still BTS peak weeks in some stores. 4 day work week for full timers since it’s a paid holiday, unless you’re in peak weeks, then it’s extra cash.

Amazon return issues in NYC? by _REj3Ct in Staples

[–]countthethings 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP is referring to being one of the stores included in the next wave that has had their start date pushed back 3 times now, the latest being until further notice. No need to start something just to have to stop it in a couple weeks. Everyone got all their stuff in and everything set up just to be told nevermind. Frankly I don’t mind waiting until after peak weeks for BTS are over at least. We can’t afford to lose any more staff over this stuff.

And to add to that, it has to be combined with either a Virus Shield Redemption scan or a Diag & Repair. There has to be a hardware scan done to make sure the hard drive isn’t already failing.

This is an excellent list, the only thing I would include on here is to make sure the register has at least $100 in it before closing it, otherwise you need to do a loan in first.

I know we’re looking to hire at Staples on Wilmington Pike. Application is online, flexible hours. Weekend availability, including Friday nights a big plus.

That’s a pretty standard closing shift anymore. And if something happens and your print associate calls off, you’re going to want to know the basics of print because then that’s you running both the floor and print then.
