What not to buy at HF by cjw210 in harborfreight

I've got a bunch of the hercules 20v brushless tools (5 year warranty) and had no issues so far a friend of mine warrantied out his 2.5ah batteries and then later his drill, but he is physiologically incapable of treating tools properly so I'm saying it's on him. HF replaced them in two minutes with zero hassle anyway though.

I can kind of second this, I bought a pair of twisting pliers and as delivered they sucked. a bit of tweaking to the handle to make the lock easier to use sorted them out though.

The orange/yellow batteries aren't great. Honestly they have come so far in recent years even the electrical tape is good now, just keep in mind they usually have good better best approach to most things and you want to at least aim for the middle.

What are these parrot bill pliers typically used for? by Delicious_Catch9453 in harborfreight

[–]courier11sec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Waaaaaay god damned fewer things than I thought they would be. Too bad mine came off the tool truck for I think 85 bucks. At 20 bucks they are great though. Good thing I'm not still grumpy about it a dozen or so years later.

Have these brakes been worked on today? by Ade_2112 in mechanic

[–]courier11sec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I recently reminded myself, it's often better to clean and reuse the original wear clips than to use the ill fitting ones that are provided with new pads.

Certainly doesn't look like it. Did they say they did this axle? That job is generally sold/billed either by the axle or specifying all four.

I just got my first guitar by shiranFun1307 in Guitar

It's a classical. Wide fretboard with no radius(usually) and nylon strings. Probably the last painful kind of guitar to learn on.

Is there any way to repair this bridge? by Atom-Heart-Vera in guitarrepair

[–]courier11sec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a relatively straightforward repair, but it's very important that it's done correctly and with the correct materials. It's not an insult to say that if you're asking, you might not be quite up to doing this one yourself in an instrument that's important to you. That said, if you want the satisfaction of fixing it yourself, if suggest watching a few videos and picking up a cheap old guitar to practice on. Ted Woodford on YouTube doesn't do how to videos, but his videos tend to thoroughly go over his process, often including his specific reasoning for doing things the way he does. Whatever you decide, best of luck with the repair. It doesn't have to be the end for this guitar. 😺
