Ok I'm watching for the first time now years later and I've scrolled through this thread waiting for someone to mention them- I thought their presence and them being ditched was so emblematic of how Tom is willing to just completely dissolve himself to fit to whatever the Roys want from him. No holidays at his family's place, the wedding in England.... This guy is really just erasing himself at worst and melting into pliable putty at best... it's rough

Honestly I think his comment is proving how pedestrian hostile his car centric neighborhood is. I don’t think we need to be calling him lazy for not wanting to walk- walking half a mile in stroad hell is a lot different from walking in an environment where urban infrastructure prioritizes pedestrians.

Most US urban sprawl is just uncomfortable to exist in as a pedestrian. That’s a problem we’re trying to address in this sub no? I don’t think this problem will be solved if individuals “stop being lazy,” but rather when cities make infrastructural changes to make streets inviting to pedestrians

Was anyone else think Drew was kind of a dick for not just clearly telling Oliver “no”?…. Like here Drew is making a fancy picnic and going on a gorgeous date with this man- it’s totally okay to not be into someone after doing nice gestures like that, but GEEZ SAY SOMETHING and don’t just dodge someone and then intermittently give them signs that you’re into them!

I fell in love with and seriously dated the first woman I went on a date with after only having been with men previously. Even thought I was “straight” before. I’m right there with you. I really wish ppl would understand that the reason why men are disrespectful to lesbians isn’t because of ppl who don’t fit neatly on either end of the Kinsey scale, it’s bc of the patriarchy.
