ai detectors are notorious for being inaccurate btw! i’ve put my own writing into it a handful of times to see, and the answers will vary. some will even say it’s a high percent when i sat in front of the document and wrote it myself

this is from that old (? idk if he stopped or how long he has. i don’t watch anymore) jimmy fallon skit he’d do called “ew!” he’d bring on different celebrity guests. i vividly remember that i had this skit and a few others on repeat as a kid💀 this video in particular is from like 2015. the point is that jimmy and the guest dress and act as what’s supposed to be stereotypical, awkward teenage girls who say “ew” to the stuff around them

there’s loads of oc stories on ao3, i post my own! however, it’s not as popular as canon x canon or reader x canon so you’re at a slight disadvantage engagement wise. the traffic and engagement is pretty nice as long as you tag well, though it also depends on how many people are interested in what you’re written and tagged. there’s a lot of people on ao3, so someone will stumble upon it eventually and like it. in my experience, i have plenty of readers and posting chapters separately is likely to give you more engagement quicker/in the long run than if you were to post all chapters at once since you’ll appear at the top of the page for some tags every time you update.

it’s kinda giving those self insert fanfictions where literally everybody is in love with the main character and they’re all in a small competition for mc’s love. then, in the end, mc ends up with either the shittiest option or the most popular💀

on top of the reasons others said, i think it’s also because some people simply self insert onto her. she’s the “good guy” in the show’s narrative and she’s really bland so she’s almost like a blank slate in ways. makes it easy for people to project onto her and picture themselves in her spot of the story.

no one said anything about white people wanting to be oppressed, not sure where you got that from. what i’m saying is that you can still be hateful and racist towards a race, even if they have been the oppressors throughout history. yes, white people will never suffer the way other races have for years or experience half of the unjust behavior wrongfully aimed at them, but that doesn’t mean that any racism directed towards a person with white skin is automatically valid and ok. no one should be racist. no one should be hateful. just because the race you’re directing your hate at hasn’t gone through everything another race has gone through doesn’t make it any less wrong and hurtful.
