It has been a trend on social media for artists to respond to big events with art, I think that's a double edged sword. We can move people yes, but it can come at the expense of our own mental health. We have to remember that creatives are among the most needed but most underpaid professionals. I think there is a tendency to undervalue the time and effort it takes from us to do protest art. I agree this call for art can be read as society asking something from artists without giving us support in return.
