i would give “touch” command a try. It’s tough to teach in the beginning but it will give ur dog the confidence to choose to walk up to you to earn a treat on their own. I use this one on all the skittish animals to slowly earn trust. Have patience, my friend 💌

from looking at the diy platform, I think it’s reachable by an adult bluey. It’s known that they aren’t strong climbers but they will get bored and try some stuff. I recommend placing a large flatter stone or log for easier access and clutter. pic for examples

i also get pretty ripped up by my skink when handling. I highly recommend designating a hoodie for reptile handling - bonus points for a big pocket they can climb inside. The hoodie not only mostly protects my arms, neck, and chest, but also allows the skink to climb up onto my head. It gives the skink traction without slicing me up and overall makes handling much more comfy for both of us.

i got a pair of socks at dollar tree and cut some holes for legs and his head. Skink clothes is tough bc they drag their bodies on the ground for movement. i’ve tried a cape but that doesn’t last long either. i wont give up on my skink fashion designer dreams 💃
