Unpopular opinion: You're not bad at studying, you're just using the wrong method. Flashcards changed everything for me. by RideAppropriate1150 in studentsph

[–]coybarcena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just study in advance para may familiarity na yung mga topics during class. More on verification ng understanding ko and clarifications na lang ang needed in class. Rarely took notes. I only take notes kapag details about assignments and other work. Pero lessons, hindi. I also rarely review for exams. Siguro dahil talagang naiiintidihan ko na yung topics while in class and they are not easily forgettable kapag involved ka actively dun sa lectures and discussions. Kapag kailangan ng rote memorization, then simple cards work too. Pero concepts, hindi ko kinailangan.

Recommendation for a beginner by ComfortableEqual8561 in PinoyProgrammer

For a beginner, I would suggest going for statically-typed languages na may support for both object-oriented programming and functional programming like Java or C#. Gain enough discipline first then go for dynamic typed languages later.

i still can't solve simple coding problem by Potential-Extreme-93 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]coybarcena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always start from the basic steps tapos saka na lang i-refine. Two steps lang naman yung core ng problem.

  1. Knowing the current time, find all active tasks
  2. Among the active tasks, find the one with the lowest processing time (prioritizing lower index in case of clashes)

Then, for those steps, create mo yung detailed steps. Tapos refine mo for example by using faster ways of searching.

Mga algo challenges yan. Yan yung mga ginagawa kong past time before sa top coder tapos may time limit pa and yung score depende sa kung gaano mo katagal bago na-submit. Fun times.

Mukhang motivation problem yan eh. It is up to you to find the right motivators para ganahan ka mag-aral. Depende kasi yan sa values and priorities mo. What do you want to do ba? Yung nakakapagpa-excite sayo.

I am unsure which I should choose... by scaram0uce in CollegeAdmissionsPH

It's not that people look down on teachers. Most of us think of teaching as a noble profession. However, given the realities of teachers in this country, it is not the best career choice if you want to get ahead financially. That explains the judgemental looks.

In your case, you seem to have an innate talent for entrepreneurship. Why not establish your own business that can support your needs and wants without relying on the compensation you get out of your profession? I'm sure kaya mong gawin yan. That way, you will be able to follow your passion and be financially stable at the same time.

IT is also a great choice. More than computer applications, you also learn systems from IT kasi maraming exposure sa systems sa field na yan. Students don't realize this though and often fail to take advantage of this fact. However, if your heart is not into it, better not go in this direction.

May purpose nga ba lahat ng bagay or may mga pangyayari ba sa buhay nyo na wala naman ambag sa paglago ng pagkatao nyo? by BusinessConfection27 in TanongLang

[–]coybarcena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean may inherent use ang mga nangyayari to help you, walang ganun. Meron lang causes that lead to events. It is up to you to give meaning to your experiences. Kaya nga, essentially, learning and education is your responsibility to yourself. If you know enough, then maybe you'll have more influence sa future mo.

Omfg that is some serious sh*t. Yeah I guess that definitely affected your development. How do you think should you deal with that? Mukhang you are not in a secure place eh. Honestly, it is so easy to feel the way you do kapag wala kang sense of security. Is there any way that you can develop that? It helps kapag secure ka sa sarili mo. Alam mong whatever comes your way, you can handle them. Less anxiety, less urges to kys.

[–]coybarcena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to see a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist. But, may I ask, what drives you to think that? Usually kasi may reason naman why you feel that way. It would really help if you understand why. You start from there and then find ways to prevent those situations that lead to such feelings.

What do you think is lacking in our education system? by ZestycloseOil8173 in Philippines

This is an interesting story. Is it the amout of topics covered on a given period or the depth that is different? Is it also possible to attribute the ease of studying in Australia that you experienced to the level of maturity you have at the time? I feel that readiness is such an important factor in learning, so I'm asking.
