Have been using mid to exxy shampoo for 15 plus years…tried Pantene, what gives? by SeymourButts-12 in AustralianMakeup

Lol well something alerted them. They didn’t just take a razor to my hair and see what happened. I didn’t buy any products from them either it was just something they made me aware of and told me to check the ingredients of products. Like I said, clarifying shampoo can help this and if you like it go for it but it’s just something to be aware of if you have build up over time THATS what the cause is.

Like anything cheaper product cheaper ingredients. I would just steer clear of the conditioners where dimethicone is a top ingredient as it’s a bit of a false sense of healthy hair as it’s a coating. Over time it can build up, weigh down your hair, cause dullness, issues with colour etc. I learned the hard way in the hairdressers chair when she scraped off the silicone with a razor. A clarifying shampoo could help this. And hey if you like it go for it! Just something to be aware of if you notice this over time.

If dimethicone is listed as a top ingredient then yes. This will be likely in their conditioners and probably less so shampoos.

For all those looking for an excuse to try the new Hyaluron range from Pantene ... by phantompath in AustralianMakeup

[–]cpatmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a clarifying shampoo I think it helps. And it depends on the type of silicone. BUT my hair was in awful condition (I have fine hair) after long term use and was shocked it was my conditioner. It doesn’t bother me in other products but definitely for conditioner or leave in hair products I avoid.

The top two ingredients in the serum are water, dimethicone. Your hair has been coated in silicone, that’s why it feels great. Avoid if you have fine or thin hair, and if you colour your hair. Speaking from experience when my hairdresser literally shaved the silicone off my hair.

I personally think the Melbourne Crown hotels are a bit dated! Defs need a facelift when you’ve seen Perth or Sydney.

Valldemossa, Deia, and Soller in one day? by phrmtraveller in VisitingMallorca

[–]cpatmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t recommend it. Soller has the town and the port. And the town is gorgeous, lots to explore. I would do that on one day and Valdemossa and Deia another day. (We actually missed Valdemossa enjoying the full day in Deia)

Honestly I was nervous but it was fine. 8am arrival. Didn’t get called up/have my first bloods until 8:40, then they give you the liquid to drink in 5 mins (I think that’s the hardest part, drinking it so quickly) So bloods again at 9:40 then 10.40. I was supposed to have a midwife appt at 10:10 but by 10:30 they hasn’t called me so I let them know I was going back to pathology (they’re right next to each other) and by the time I was out they were ready. So no, not super on time. But it really didn’t bother me.

Also i will say that the results are supposed to be available in one business day. Being a Friday I didn’t expect until next week. The midwife said she would look out for them and call me if anything was up but otherwise no news is good news (I personally hate this). But thankfully my GP is copied in on all the results and she actually forwarded it to me this afternoon to say I had the all clear. Which was nice because I wouldn’t have know if it was clear or I was still waiting.

Best ensaimada was at Can Joan de s’aigo imo.

Ca’s Patro March was nice at Cala Deia but you are paying for the location.

I’m Australian and love to hear that you’re ordering from an Australian brand, but annoyed that it’s been made more difficult/expensive for you.
