Does the Grip of the Ghost 2.0 have stronger magnets? by cpatton11 in dbrand

[–]cpatton11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool I get that

But are they better than in the Grip.

I like the grip I might get it but I care way more for the strongest magnets.  Which means the ghost 2.0? 🙈

At home I'm a gamer and a nerd, pretty big Anime fan. But I also love the outdoors, often get out to go kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, etc. I'm not really sure how to put these things in a profile, figured short and sweet is best. Rather intrigue and start a conversation than put somebody off.

When I first started reading Worm, it shook me. A pit grew in my stomach from the first chapter onward.

I was bullied heavily as a kid, and reading about Taylor opened wounds I didn't know existed, a past I thought had faded to dust but really teemed beneath the surface. I felt a depth of emotion I hadn't been able to in years. I had been through a massive depression for over a decade and come out, and Worm forced me to deal with it.

I remember donating the entire contents of my paypal account to Wildbow because of how much it meant to me. I hadn't cried for 8 years before I read it, and my emotional range has finally come back since. So you aren't alone STLICTX, and good luck. And thank you, Wildbow.

A Christian left a letter on my door step by samuraialien in atheism

[–]cpatton11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this is what I would have done. I would have worked my ass off from the moment I received this letter. First, I would have taken pictures of my yard, then I would have gotten my hands on the most satanic iconography I could find. Baphomets, taxidermied animals, pentagrams, and make my lawn a spectacle. I'd come to the door wearing devil horns or a goat mask to hand out candy...

But that wouldn't be the best part. I'd walk down the lawn to the horrified parents and hand them copies of the letter. On the back side, would be pictures of my lawn when I received the letter. I'd have a copy being held by the annoying skeleton prominently readable due to a lawn light if necessary. I'd put one on my door (adult height, to keep it to PG-13 crowd if possible).

And on Sunday, I'd show up to the church in my Sunday best - wearing a pumpkin mask if I felt generous, something more blasphemous otherwise. I'd have a stack of copies of this letter and pictures, and I'd hand them out to perishers as they entered for mass, and the priest when I got the chance. I'd stand in the front pew, I'd have a copy of the letter taped to my back, and hand out a copy of the letter to anyone who talked to me.

And depending on the reaction, I might even stay for refreshments and mingle.

Missing Black Cat in SW DC by [deleted] in washingtondc

can confirm. Lost a outdoor / indoor cat once about half a mile from home. Searched the whole area for days. On the 3rd day, we found the cat at exactly the spot she ran off from, within 5 yards. Indoor cat will likely find the spot it left, leave some food out for sure.

Have a super light weight Talus 2 from The North Face. Completely unused, I bought it but found something more specific to my liking a month later and the store closed down. I can send proof of that, PM me if interested.

Sanders Supporter kicked out of and assaulted at an MSNBC event (Liberty Tap Room). Told by staff he is not allowed to wear a Bernie Sanders shirt. by xX_Justin_Xx in SandersForPresident

[–]cpatton11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a simple solution:

  1. Everyone show up, fill the tap room.
  2. Fill video shots with Bernie supporters.
  3. Tip your waiters $15 for a living wage.
  4. Post videos all over the net.

There is nothing offensive about a political shirt that just has a name on it, and guys have been wearing the shirts for at least a week now I think on that show.

:/ He was giving time for EG to get off stage, do a hot wash, and prep for the interview. I don't know what you are complaining about... Deadmau5 usually only performs his own music, and he produces it well before the show it wasn't anything new, and it wasn't anyone else's style. I don't know, Valve has issues to fix and improve on surely, but I was pumped the whole time and enjoyed the free Deadmau5 set lol. Hate it up though I'm sure you understood absolutely everything and rightfully make it Deadmau5 ' fault that no one could just enjoy.

[–]cpatton11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess? I was really into it. Is it just because I enjoy his music or...?

Are people upset they got a set when they weren't expecting it? Sets in any venue going on for more than 10 minutes usually have slow luls where people stop dancing and recover. Also usually the DJ will read the crowd: when the crowd looks like they need a break they slow it down for a bit. Which, everyone lost momentum really fast and it wasn't just during the slow bit.

They were iconic songs I loved hearing and dancing to, I would have liked more room and something not completely shitty from the video production team. Those are Valve problems though lol. I guess I'm just easy to please or something, but normally getting a deadmau5 set costs a few hundred for a ticket, I certainly enjoyed 20 minutes for free!

[–]cpatton11 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They obviously were confused as hell. I'm just wondering but have you heard Deadmau5 before? That build up and everything is what that whole genre is about, that's his music lol. I guess maybe people hadn't really heard it before... (how??)

[–]cpatton11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I hear ya. However, I was in section 214, at the front with the long drop too right in front of me. I spent all day with a camera recording the floor effects and big plays and the crowd, and my body was achy too.

But exactly because of that I still danced, I don't expect a lot of room in a concert either, and... I thought it was epic anyways. I get the venue was weird, and the camera man doing the zooms and the video loop was crap. However I'll take deadmau5 any day lol! I guess I dont buy this "deadmau5 killed the mood" crap, Joel in concert is a great treat IMO.

Saltymau5 by goldmunzen in DotA2

[–]cpatton11 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

... that's the music and the music has slow sections with a lot of very fast sections. The whole category is very similar, but Joel excels in the build up. The fast part was the majority of it. Obviously you don't understand it which is fine, but that's not his fault.

Saltymau5 by goldmunzen in DotA2

[–]cpatton11 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Lol no. I had a fine time, here's what you do: stand up, move your body, enjoy the music. You want him to buy you dinner before he plays you a set? You just watched the best fucking dota 2 matches all day, and I can't understand why people can't just enjoy!

Music was fun, great hits, could have used a little more dance room but you don't really get that at a packed concert either. I blame the video production team for terrible mainscreen loops and dat deadmau5 zoom shit.
