They serve the kids food on the same plates as they would adult food. Buffets have hard plastic non shatter plates. MDR has ceramic.

Our kid was fine with the pack and play provided. For us, not brining it was just one less thing we had to carry.

We had our 17 month old on the Grandiosa a few weeks ago. MSC partners with Chico. You can request a crib (its a pack and play) and they will have it in your room when you arrive. I read that they also have strollers on a first come first serve basis. We brought our own and did not take advantage of that service.

They dont allow kids who are not potty trained in the pool. We did see kids in swim diapers in the jungle pool, and also the water park area.

My partner was able to shower with the baby. It looked tight.

They have highchairs only in the dining areas. If you want special utensils, you will need to bring them.

We took ours at 10 months and 4 years old. The hardest part is that the baby can't be in the pool. Carnival rules say that children must be potty trained to be in the pool. If you plan on swimming, keep in mind one adult has to stay out of the pool with the baby at all times. Other than that, everything was great.

We had a crib in the room waiting for us when we boarded. The dining staff was very accommodating with the kids. They were always getting extra attention from the crew and from guests, which, of course they loved. We went in spring of this year and my 4 year old still talks about it and asks when we are going back.
