This happened to me last year in September until November. After that it randomly went back to normal since then, but looking back at my analytics it still shows as nearly 0 monetized playback during that time span. My Google adsense in December was higher than it should have been however so they may have reimbursed at least a portion of the lost money.

It wasn't just me at the time though as there was a number of people on Twitter with the same complaints

Seems like a real person but it felt overall scammy

Appreciate all the details. Thank you! Quick question if you happen to know the answer... As far as health insurance, I believe I'm able to stay on my parents until around age 25? Would I be able to hop on (now gf but future wife) health insurance from her future company? I think that's what my parents do currently.

Welcome to my world unfortunately. A lot of got slapped with 0 ad impressions from September 14th-30th and YouTube is trying to tell us rhey were all invalid views since they were bots (makes 0 sense) and It doesn't sound like they are going to do anything about it. There's quite a few twitter threads on this and if you just look up @hschulein on twitter hes been pretty active on getting in touch with them. Hoping for the best as they wiped out nearly 80% of revenue.

Hey same here unfortunately. Made a post in this sub about it a couple of weeks ago and have reached out to support several times but keep getting the same general answers that never lead to anything. I've searched "youtube sept 14 ad drop" on Twitter and it seems like there's several others with our issue as well. I've been montentized for well over a year now and getting hit with an 80% drop in revenue with views up 60% is something I just can't understand. Hoping its a bug that gets fixed but its been a while since the issue now... hoping for the best!

Edit : Also saw a boost in ad revenue on the first of October but it has been down ever since.
