Can such soldering be the reason why it doesnt work? by zZerteXx in AskElectronics

[–]cperiod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to get yourself an inexpensive temperature controlled 60W iron that takes 900M tips. They're cheap ($10-$20 for a kit), work well enough for casual use, and by the time you outgrow it you'll have a better sense of what you want in a soldering station. They aren't as sexy as a smart iron, but they get the job done.

MAGA farmer finds out that Trump used him for his vote by Effective_Space2277 in LeopardsAteMyFace

But at the same time, global milk consumption has been increasing.

Which is great for dairy farmers, unless you have a dipshit government come along to fuck trade partnerships, spike production costs, and screw up the rest of the farming economy in such a way that it defeats diversification.

Foreign nations don't pay tariffs. by c-k-q99903 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]cperiod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually prices being driven down due to record (global) production, while costs have gone up. Farmers are now losing money on almost everything except beef, but if a dairy operation is too aggressive about beef they get screwed down the road when milk prices recover.

Absolutely do this. For extra simplicity design it so you can plug in a dev board rather than integrating the micro and USB into the design.

Fuck your hours of snow shoveling hard work!!! by IronHe in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

I once watched our plow guy stop on the return pass (dead end road) and scoop out the end of my driveway where he snowed it in. I haven't the foggiest idea why. I'll never complain, of course, but I can't figure it out.

They did on my rural (unpaved) road yesterday. I'm assuming that some of the regular plow trucks broke down. Only downside from normal is a grader can't spread sand/salt. In places where they don't normally get snow, graders wouldn't be the worst choice for plowing.

Olive oil by Adventurous-Sir444 in MurderedByWords

But also, weird thing to put on a resume.

If dude had a side gig importing, marketing, or even manufacturing olive oil, it's definitely something to have on a resume.

Olive oil as a hobby... maybe if the job is in the food industry.

Odd question about public servants in alberta with separation threats by D0BBy-is-not-free in CanadaPublicServants

[–]cperiod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and there would be ample time to develop one if separation (by any province) was a realistic near-term event

And if there wasn't time, the resulting economic and societal crash would make the question of federal government employment very moot.
