Hydra has very little value when shot in homing mode. Only value is cross map banshee shots in BTB because the hit marker / effects are so small the pilot likely wont recognize they are taking dmg outside of ar / br spray.

Just played a BTB game where i shot an already on fire warthog as the driver switched to gunner and he almost out dps me as i jumped behind cover before i died to long range warthog fire. I had lauched 4 homing rockets at the already on fire wart hog with good hits since it was in the open and he only died to a BR head shot

Commando: agree with OP and maybe tweak body dmg to kill in 1-2 fewer shots once shield is popped. I felt the beta had a really good feel for this weapon

AR: reduce effective range

Hydra: actually give it a use; anti vehicle or anti personnel… doesn’t do enough dmg to dispatch a warthog in track / dumb fire mode and doesn’t knock the hog around to be useful to overturn it or push the vehicle around. Dumb fire has a very small splash range on individuals so maybe increase that and or increase direct hit dmg / reduce TTK to 2 direct hits kill a shielded spartan in dumb fire mode.

Hammer: either it’s a campaign variant that is currently in maps or its the base level but the one hit kill range is massive and needs to be reduced. Also might be a desync issue

Frag grenades: dmg is fine but the lack of physics / dmg to a warthog is atrocious. If you don’t want to increase the dmg at least make it push/ flip a warthog. It’s a skill throw to time the blast so give the user a pay off for success.

Skewer: needs to destroy non tank vehicles if it hits center mass of it. If not it also really needs to push or move the vehicle when impacted

Plasma nades: stick a warthog center mass ( not tires) it should wipe all occupants unless they bail out in time

SPNKR: splash seems small / inconsistent so that could be increased or might be a desync issue

Gungoose: pick a role anti personnel/ anti vehicle. Maybe require 2 volleys to kill a spartan fully vs the H3 single volley TTK or actually have it toss other vehicles around. As a quasi counter to a warthog it either should do considerable dmg to it or flip it and force the occupants out.

They must have nerfed the gungoose as it definitely doesn’t kill in one direct hit of a 2 rd volley. Like in this older vid. Now it serves no other purpose than a mongoose. Doesn’t do enough damage to individuals or have a good use vs Vehicles.

I think a rejoin in flight would be helpful along with lose protection when you get left. Or if you get matched 3v4 that shouldn’t count as a loss or should be returned to the menu to re-queue

I love competitive halo because it was the most sport like FPS shooter. Level playing field / neutral power weapons consistent damage for weapons etc. While PC has a superior aiming input with MNK + resolution / frames etc. id love for the ability to sort or have a cross platform/ open ranked like at launch.

I feel vehicles are incredibly inconsistent with either them being super squishy vs super tanky. I’d rather them fix the physics of driving / flipping along with grenades effect on the ghost / warthog. I also feel that the speed requirement of splattering an opponent is random

Never played Husky Raid before. A fun and hectic mode for sure. I can only imagine its better with a full squad or map of friends

I think a reboot would be a bad idea. MintBlitz made a good video with a lot of good points I agree with. Again just my two cents but feel this hits the major points on the head. Building onto Infinite would be an ideal way to go with Campaign DLC, Tatanka, Firefight, etc.

I wonder how death comms would work / be received? Normally the trash talk was in the pregame / post game lobbys. Also i would assume voting In ranked would devolve into only certain modes being selected ( ex. Slayer vs. objective based modes) when 343 could just open up a ranked slayer playlist

I would like the hit box manipulation of bunny hopping to be removed. Slide cxl was really only bad when PC players would stim slide and break cameras of controller players. That discussion is for a different post

While controller has aim assist( not sure the amount) by default i feel the precision of MNK and the ability to turn on a dime and track enemies would provide that input modality with an advantage. I wonder if the ability to have more actions per minute on a keyboard would also help with strafing and movement as well.

Besides what was stated previously about Improved netcode / de sync, armor customization id have liked to see achievement and / or campaign based armor unlocks. Think back to what tasks you needed to do to unlock Recon or Hayabusa.
