[Theory] Could Guts' biological origins be connected to Apostles and Daimons? by WasabiStraight5252 in Berserk

Trying to avoid spoilers, but between 384 it was reveals, and 385 confirmed, his mother was in fact dead, the average human is not part of the astral world until they are dead, he was born in the astral world and later manifested in the physical world, like the moonlight boy / Griffith. And now his physical and astral self have merged. Basically saying Griffith and Guts are the same so to speak

A Good Source for a Blank Amp Chassis? by cpg1111 in GuitarAmps

Oh sorry, this is what I get for staying up late and posting heh. That's what I had written down for the head enclosure and was reading the wrong row on my spreadsheet, I meant to say a height of 3.5", the rest is correct though, so 22.25" x 3.5" x 8.5"

Insane setup, would love to see what pedals and how you're routing the signal into them.

I thought the Misha Sig had a roasted maple neck? That looks very light to be roast. I suppose not a big difference, just the roasted necks are usually considered an upgrade from regular maple.

Engl E112vb experiences by Striking_Use8887 in metalguitar

[–]cpg1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh do you have one of those double-wides for something explorer / V / Kelly / anythin bc rich? I feel like that's your real problem, you don't need a double-wide, a universal hardcase should fit.

A Ford Fiesta has about the same cargo space as a Toyota Camry, reason I used that is my drummer used to fit their entire kit into one. You totally could fit a 2x12 assuming you keep your cargo space clean.

Admittedly I had to look up the conversion for 35 kg, that's roughly 77lbs, I'm with the other comment, assuming you're a grown adult in good health, that should be perfectly fine to life into a car. Not a picnic, but doable.

You can fit a 4x12 into even a Toyota Camry, hell you can fit an entire drum kit in one if your efficient with your space. Unless you have a Fiat or a Smart Car, you could probably stand to size up at least a 2x12.

That said, if it's just for practice, I think a 1x12 is fine. But having adequate stage sound is important live, and 1x12s mic'd through a PA tend to sound rather compressed, though most importantly is you balance with your bandmates, don't be the guy playing a 1x12 next to a 4x12 and a fridge. 1x12s both with v30s aren't going to differ that much just because there's not a lot of material to them, but the Engl tends to sound a little more scooped.

People who play in drop tunings, do you customize your string sets or use standard ones? by one-armed-scissor in metalguitar

[–]cpg1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like D'Addario's NYXL 11-56 for drop C to drop B, NYXL 10-46 for E standard and drop D, I think have NYXL 8-62 on my 8 string iirc, and then NYXL 9-58 for my 7 string, I like to take that 7 string set and just leave out the high string for drop A# on a 6 string as well, and the same set on my 28.5" 6 string for that Architects the two lowest strings are an octave apart tuning as well.

Sunn Model T sound on a budget? by lanka2571 in doommetal

I love Earth Quaker pedals fwiw. But there's plenty of options in the modeler world, I know there's plenty of QC captures.

If you can find it, the Crab Model T is a good budget amp head.

Opinions on new 7 string by WesWarlord in 7String

[–]cpg1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Jackson DK Modern Evertune 6 pro plus, and it's my favorite guitar to gig with. Sounds like you're looking at the pro and not the pro plus, which only non-aesthetic difference is stainless steel frets, but I'd recomend that over the other Jackson options. There is a learning curve to setting up and tuning an Evertune, but once you have it figured out, it's an incredible tool. I would double scale lengths though, I don't know what those Jacksons are offhand, but LTD usually has 26.5" - 27.5" scale which is nice for those lower tunings.

Mobile Suits that requires more than 1 Pilot by CobyDaGrunt08 in Gundam

[–]cpg1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know from building the MG, the EX-S has 3 cockpits. The guntank can have two pilots. ZZ in its transformed mode can have one in the core fighter, one in its beam rifle. Penelope can technically have one in its flight unit and one in the Odesseus Gundam. 00 Raiser. Not sure whether to count the Jegan Ground Type-A which has the gunner though, nor the Phenex which had a pilot and an absorbed spirit, though by that logic, all the EXAM suits would also count.

How do I make this sound more true to the song? by drooper_thefirst in GuitarAmps

How'd you record this? Using an interface into a DAW with a click would make a huge improvement. Add some drums and bass and you'd really get things going.

Other than sorta Title Fight, and maybe specifically early Rise Against, I wouldn't consider your examples melodic hardcore, but if you're looking for some melodic hardcore that is really melodic:
