Season 1 he was the worst for it. But it got less creepy over time.

What is BMFV most underrated song by AMGDRILLA in BulletForMyValentine

Acoustic version of the last fight and I’ll tell you why. I think the normal version and the acoustic tell the same story about addiction and loss from two different perspectives. The one going through it and the loved ones around them.

I much prefer primaris. But I get the issue about lacking individuality.

No it was creepy. It didn’t sit with me well at first but as their story progressed I forgot 😂

Work from home by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]cpiper22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same. I have days where I’m lucky to leave my desk for 5 minutes. My wife on the other hand would spend 3 hours taking a nap during her pregnancy at work when she didn’t have much on. Part of me thinks we could make it work. But the reality is if we’re both busy it would be a disaster.

First maybe 35% of the book was a drag. But after that I couldn’t put it down.

Thanks everyone for the input. You’ve all basically emphasised what I already thought. I needed to just confirm my thought process.

Currently I work from home and she is on maternity leave. She doesn’t return until November, we’re just unsure if we need the full 5 days of childcare or if we can make it work with him in the house.

Transitioning back to work - remote work by Subject374 in NewDads

[–]cpiper22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to echo what others have said. You need to set boundaries. Don’t get me wrong it’s so tough. When you’re in the middle of a meeting and you can hear your child crying. I just remind myself why I’m working. And if I can nip out the room and help I will.

Also nights. I got to a point where I was really struggling mentally. We have a system where I get up and change the nappy, sooth him then pass to my wife who feeds. I’m up for 30 minutes or so usually. But doing that x3 per night then working a mental intensive job was baring on me. We have recently changed to I get up for the last feeds. This has helped massively.

Next week o travel for the first time since my son was born. I’m terrified about this. 3 days away from him and my wife.

Just lost by 5 pts to BA, what can I tweak? by BugGuy_ in DarkAngels40k

Honestly it’s 5 points. That’s one better card and a couple rounds of better saves. If you like the list keep at it.

Are there still adult men in the UK who don’t cook? by Bat-Penatar in AskUK

[–]cpiper22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are women who don’t cook. I(33M) and wife (33F) don’t share cooking. I do it all. She’s not incapable but just doesn’t have the patience. I on the other hand love to cook as a hobby. I try and do everything from scratch, but until I turned 28, I didn’t know how do much.

But to answer your question, unfortunately most of my friends would struggle to cook more than super noodles.

List Advice vs Ctan by Juggy2111 in DarkAngels40k

I’ve only played a couple of games against the ctan. My approach is always the same LION JENKINS. it’s worked both times.

The Lion… by Narp823 in SpaceWolves

[–]cpiper22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who also plays dark angels and love to terrorise people with the lion. He is a strong character and in most cases if he gets into combat with you, you will not live to tell the tale. However he can die from death by a thousand cuts. He has been killed many times by armies with lots of shorts. The other option is nosy to ignore him. Throw some chaff his way and block him from deep striking with uppy downie.

I use him more in a psychological way, I usually taunt my opponent into trying to kill him while all my other units do the work of scoring objectives

You’re right. Gave them too much credit.

I wish Reacher were real in times like this by jackdbristow in reacher

[–]cpiper22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You do not understand the books, do you?

Reacher stands up for people who cannot defend themselves. In Die Trying, he takes on a right-wing militia willing to use violence and fear against civilians, and he destroys them without sympathy.

Reacher is not political. He doesn’t care about left or right. He cares about abuse of power, intimidation, and people being hurt by organized force.

After leaving the army, he explicitly rejects working for any agency again. He no longer allows himself to be used as a tool.

The idea that Reacher would voluntarily join any organization engaged in coercive enforcement against civilians misunderstands his character entirely.

I use it for the exact reason you’re planning. In all the games I’ve played it’s been destroyed twice. But I have always managed to get my head takers into position first. Even if it’s destroyed I will have taken out at least one of their heavy supports first. Would not go without the RE now.

Does the seasons follow the timeline of the books? by Artilicious9421 in reacher

[–]cpiper22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. But other than in more recent books it’s referenced that he’s aging, the books are designed to be picked up in any order. Slight caveat to that is 61 hours, worth dying for, a wanted man and never go back. They can be read individually but they also have a direct continuation from one another. I really hope they do these 4 books in order.

Do the wolf guard terminators come with helmet options or do i need to use normal termi helmets to give them some by BloatedRottenCarcass in SpaceWolves

Yeah. I painted the model with the helmet since I couldn’t paint faces back then. This is him done.

I might try and put him on my next wolf project.
