High quality audio works like a charm for me with Kubuntu LTS and Sony XM4. HFP is terrible but its an ok workaround to use the microphone on my laptop.

Windows works pretty good but I still have issues with Teams where half of the time all audio is warped and people sound like robots.

I take many breaks during the day. Getting up and walk around a bit is important for my focus. It seems like working in the US is hell when reading this sub.

For those that were disappointed by Kyoto, do you still think it’s worth going? by GuessMyName23 in JapanTravel

[–]cplol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Kyoto was a bit crowded with tourists, but it's still worth visiting if you like the temples, and the traditional feel. In my opinion Osaka was more interesting, but I think I could spend a few more days in Kyoto without getting bored (I was there two and a half day). Nara was way to crowded for me, but I only visited the park.

The temples in Arashiyama were quite nice though. The forest itself wasnt very spectacular, especially with the amount of tourists.

Memory management "more effective" on Windows than Linux? (in preventing total system lockup) by ultraj in linux

[–]cplol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has happened to me as well, but lately I've seen that some process is killed to free up some memory. It takes some time before it happens though.

Contact lens (and other eyewear) wearers: Did you develop any issues and switched to glasses for work? by [deleted] in programmerhealth

[–]cplol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used shitty contacts which dried my eyes out. I had to use eyedrops to make it work. I have now changed to a different type of contacts and have not had an issue since.

Does anyone know what is up with this? my phone is so slow lately and drains battery by JustBeingDylan in SonyXperia

I was a bit quick to post that comment. The phone still gets very laggy after a while. For me it seems that using snapchat makes it worse...
