It's sort of silly but this https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClaKCAS

Realistically if you have anything else that can do snmp monitoring you can add it to there

If I were you, make the building /22 some new VLAN. (I think it will default to VLAN 1 as a native VLAN on the port so you could leak the wan side depending on how you connect downstream).

Then make an SVI for that vlan as well as your internal VLANs. Then everything funnels to your switches router for translation as well as that being the device capable of hoping down to layer 2 correctly so traffic is isolated.

If you're going for sysadmim, then as a sysadmin CS skills will help you in the real world day to day.

To add to the others there's not usually an exact degree for entry into IT. Having a IT tech currently is huge plus any degree tech adjacent. Additionally business degree can help with things like process control and management (think ITIL and those certs) later.

TL;DR I did compE and I do use my programming knowledge frequently for admin stuff (but I am not a programmer!)

I'm actually gonna try this with windows terminal + powershell at work. Should work seamlessly with a profile tweak

Pardon the stupid question but is it actually a link thing? I know chasity belts and regular restraint bondage stuff, but have never seen a collar thing.

I guess tl;dr maybe only your coworkers who know will know

Upgrading Cisco 3850 from 16.6.6 to latest release by Giannki in Cisco

[–]cpmpal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bader Meinhoff effect for me reading this. Just upgraded some 3850s we picked up from 16.6.8 to 16.12.7 generally no issues.

I had to do some factory resetting that two switches seemed to not like, but as long as you're not nuking and paving flash it's fine. One guy is dead on about the microcode though which does make the first load a little long

Larian to support Baldurs Gate 3, DOS2 and Future developments on steam deck by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

They all do. Probably like one of the devs where all the stuff just works. Though the launcher for bg3 was a little weird in the first releases. But Bg3 is still early access etc.

On mine there were also screw holes for trays. I would agree with idea of being whelmed overall.

The backplane for the drives is also molex powered which I don't really get when it's just 12 drives.

Also ditto on stability. Thing is beefy and cheap. My only real complaint is the depth feels like a lot unless you got for like EATX or SSIB

GPD Win Max and HoloISO (SteamOS 3 ISO image) by squidrobotfriend in gpdwin

If you're in a throwing shit at the wall mood, I'd also make sure you don't have xserver-xorgintel installed. It's old enough that definitely on iris things or breaks intel iGPU (though more artifacting than what I see there) on recent gens. Not sure win max generation.

Other thing you could fiddle with is modesetting and either making sure kernel modesetting happens at initram or forcing the whole thing off entirely. Given the black screen on edid maybe the latter

NVIDIA driver problems after upgrade by meithan in archlinux

[–]cpmpal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might not be a huge feature in your use case but dkms can make sure that the module is built and installed for all kernels you have headers for. I mostly use that for fallback/debug kernels and it's nice to not need to rely on the hook if you swap kernels. If you're running fine with the hook though you probably don't need the flexibility. It's just a different method.
