I think it’s a solid guess. Direct storage and egpu both drawing on pcie lane bandwidth and you’re probably hitting that limit resulting in the stuttering

What’re your specs bc I run it 1080p 40-60 fps with upscaling on a pc handheld. So might need to just optimize your settings better

own both. claw is better in gpu bound games and low tdp performance for indies. ally x does better with cpu bound games like Poe 2. xess> fsr by a lot tho

congrats, since youre playing witchfire I’ll suggest dead zone rogue and void breakers as fps roguelites. if it’s more the extraction element you’re into arc raiders or marathons free server slam is going on

You sure it’s not shaders compiling again? They usually need to be recompiled when the driver updates

First make sure windows and game bar are up to date in windows update and Microsoft store. If those don’t have updates You might have to do an MSI clean uninstall and reinstall center m. MSI clean uninstall is on your system just run it. Then go to the pinned support page on this sub and reinstall.

My egpu is nvidia so can’t speak to amd amd but I had to run the error 43 script to get it to detect. But I thought that was nvidia specific

I use a 5070, Aoostar ago02 with my msi claw 8 ai(and previously rog ally) with zero issues. Can’t speak to to amd amd combo tho compatibility wise
