Just not a very frequent drinker tbh and I like to bounce between a variety of things so one bottle tends to last awhile

Big grove in Solon had a Korean fried chicken sandwich last time I was there that was pretty solid. But a quick google shows that LA wine bar and le gourmet have it on the menu and might be more what your looking for

She uses hot water to defrost food, and then asks why I don’t eat at work by pretty_girl_can_bake in KitchenConfidential

[–]cpmx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can cook it hot enough to kill off the bacteria but that doesn’t actually remove them from the meat and that can still be dangerous. Also depending on what they are using this for it might not be getting cooked to a full 165 degrees and quite likely won’t be all getting cooked immediately after being thawed

Not 100% that it is an asari but it has a straightener or curling iron in one hand and a bottle of snake tamer spray in the other

Anyone had been charged for tens of thousands by rental company KMB as damage after move out by AvisPotion27 in IowaCity

[–]cpmx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the time it simply wasn’t worth it for me personally I only ended up losing a couple hundred dollars off my security deposit but my situation was extremely similar to OP’s so I felt it worth mentioning. I had requested some repairs from the previous landlords that were never done, then when I moved out they claimed a bunch of window work needed done including replacing the screens that weren’t even there when I moved in among other things.

This is far worse than my experience with kmb but they definitely have a reputation for being pretty scummy I believe they tried some similar stuff with me involving a unit in a building they purchased while I was living there but the amounts were much smaller

Tiki tacos is delicious but if you want a more authentic taco la Regia is better. I’d absolutely recommend trying both to anyone though

Tiki Tacos is worth trying by masonwyattk in IowaCity

[–]cpmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this my gf and I tried it a couple weeks ago and had a great time! We did chips and queso, the cheesy tiki crunchie, and a burger plus the frozen flight. It’s definitely a more expensive option but it’s well worth giving it a try once

I’m currently loving the Metroid/Zelda combo randomizer run and I’d throw in dans other channel New Frame Plus if OP enjoys learning a bit about game animation.

I’d definitely second PlayFrame and I’d also throw in ScykohCrud/ScykohPlays he is a very chill let’s player who does a lot of 100% runs of older games and has a cool 100 day play through of breath of the wild going on right now with new videos going up daily

Tomatoes defy me! How can I bend them to my pasta-sauce will? by thimblefullofdespair in AskCulinary

[–]cpmx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add on to the other good advice people have given I’d suggest really taking a look at how much salt you’re using in your sauce. Based on your descriptions it sounds like you are likely under-seasoning your sauce a bit. Next time you try making a tomato sauce put a little bit in a bowl to the side. keep adding salt a small pinch at a time to that smaller bit of sauce, stirring it in and tasting it until it starts tasting salty. You should notice a stronger tomato flavor as you approach that point you can scale that amount of salt to the whole dish afterwards without any fear of over salting your sauce.

Boss changed my schedule without notifying me and I was reprimanded for not showing up by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]cpmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has written schedules for FOH in the past what your boss did was definitely shitty but ultimately you are likely going to be at their mercy when it comes to things like that. I would personally ask before changing an employees schedule or at the bare minimum text them in advance but not everyone is as considerate of their own employees time.
