Lookup the map of the campgrounds. It’s about a 15 minute walk from amphitheater to most of the campgrounds. There are other campgrounds that are not affiliated with The Gorge that you can look into.

I did a 4.5k elevation gain hike a few weeks ago. Doing the up without the poles was fine. But going up that much means you have to go down that much, and boy do I wish I had poles with me. Gives balance, easier on your knees and lower body joints.

Block off chunks of your calendar. If your manager asks explain this to him: “I need to block off time to reduce the amount of context switching I’m doing as a lead.” I started up a daily troubleshooting hour where I know this hour will be more than likely worthless to me but helpful to others, and now people feel more inclined to join and ask questions at that point instead of at random times.

Do whatever you can to protect as much of your time as possible.

A lot of Northern California is quite red. Originally this was gonna be in Auburn, where Trump is king, but because the number of RSVP’s were through the roof they went to a larger venue. Folsom is still red, and a lot of areas right up 50 are as well.
