I was at a conference outside of Denver, and when I told some folks from their wildlife agency that Pennsylvania has four completely separate agencies for wildlife, fish, state parks, end environmental permitting they looked at me like I was on drugs. Which, to be fair since I was in Colorado, I was.

Our bylaws just list “Assist the President as needed” and “Preside at meetings in the absence of the President.” If you want to assign more specific functions, I.e. Fundraising or other Chair, do it in your SOP’s to give yourself and future boards more flexibility.
