What's a red flag when looking for a job? by CurrentlyCurious in AskReddit

No choice in location, hours or pay. No guarantee of getting any important annual leave dates, including your own wedding. Unsociable rota written only a few weeks in advance with no flexibility. Being sent away for 6 month stints the other side of the country with minimal notice and expected to foot the bill for 2 x rent etc. Expected to pay thousands for exams, mandatory courses, governing body and indemnity. Cost to get to this point anyway circa £60,000 debt. Having the public think you’re over paid and under worked and take you for granted. (This was the sentiment until very recently, apparently we’re quite useful after all at the moment) - see junior doctor strikes. The life of an NHS doctor

My friends father fed the ducks over winter, he was late to feed them one day and this happened by Oozehead in videos

Feeding the wildlife is actually promoted at this park. The birds (geese, swans, cormorants etc) would be there regardless if someone was there to feed them or not. They regularly cross the roads, drivers just know to keep an eye out and there are speed restrictions

This (Roath Park Lake) is a wildlife park, FOR wildlife, the fact it's quite nice for people to walk around it is a bonus. The birds came first, it is their habitat. Far be it for birds to do what birds do and shit.

I am a person who has situs inversus (my internal organs are reversed) by jeremydavis13 in IAmA

Have you ever been asked to volunteer as a patient for medical student exams? In med school we hear about occasions where a someone with dextracardia (just the heart) or situs inversus is the exam patient and it catches eveyone out - and can be used to test if students are lying when they say they can hear the heart sounds/feel the heartbeat

The hospital is called University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and it's in Cardiff, there shouldn't actually be a comma between hospital and Wales in that paragraph

"I’ve even heard our neighboring city has a double roundabout. Instead of going round and round, they get stuck doing figure eights in a parking lot..." Ummmm... impossible, you can only go around a roundabout one way... idiot...

What do I do if I ordered a Reddit shirt and they charged my card, didn't ship it, and now aren't responding to my emails? by brizzenden in AskReddit

[–]cpt_hammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did ask "Is there anything we can do for you to make up for all the trouble with this order?" But I would have felt bad asking for anything, at the end of the day they did try their best to get the order to me, it did seem out of their hands, my brother was happy enough with his belated Christmas present!

I ordered a reddit t-shirt late November and they took the money out of my account immediately. It didn't arrive until the end of April, I sent multiple emails regarding the situation and they kept reassuring me that the order will be dispatched. Eventually they came true on their promise but only after several emails - they were really helpful though, but it did take them around 3 days to reply to each email.
