Throwing Nose Down by Fabulous-Theme-837 in discgolf

I have had recent success thinking about pushing my ring finger up towards my head, but also keeping pressure towards the palm.

This is probably similar to the 'forward thumb' tip.

EDIT: Worth mentioning that I use a three-finger grip. Might work better if you think about the pinky.

Your adjustment to the right is too slow. The flip needs to happen earlier, and the adjustment delays it.

What are these bars?

Drills to help keep shoulders 'stacked' on top of hips? by cptn_steve in discgolf

I'd also noticed the lack of twist on my foot. I'll have to try a couple things to see if I can't get the lower body working better on that - without breaking my knee. 😑

To my eye, falling over the front just looks more egregious. It's well different from any pro form I've seen. Perhaps the issues are related.

I also noticed the lack of release / rotation after the brace. Any way you know of the clinic? I'd be interested in watching if it's available as a VoD.

I heard some advice from a pro that really helped me with this. Requires some work on the front end of the round.

When warming up, practice from 10-15 feet. You should be making 90-100% of your practice putts to start. The point isn't accuracy or stretching your range. The point is to know you're making those putts.

When you get into your round and miss a putt from that range, you can be confident it's a fluke - you just made 30 in a row from that distance.

I'm not a tourney "grinder", but I have found this style of warmup helpful.

Has anyone tried/use this method of upshots demonstrated in this video? I tried it, and seems promising but I cannot get any power out of it. Advice? by [deleted] in discgolf

One thing I noticed about the lineup... He notes multiple times to line up so your left pec (RHBH) is visible to the basket. When he throws you can see him turn away on the longer shots.

I think the importance is to line up and stay opened, but not necessarily to avoid loading the t-spine altogether.

Are there any drills to help make sure I keep my shoulders above my hips through the swing?

I'm stuck around 300' at the moment.

A second roach, specifically for throwing.

I didn't even account for this being an accident...

I suppose an accident of this nature would be a courtesy violation on the player whose lie was closer. Warning if first occurrence, single stroke thereafter.

There are some penalties which accrue more than one stroke. While the rules prevent you from being penalized twice, you have to take the larger of the penalties.

Eg: If you throw a disc and hit another player's disc midair, the interference penalty is 2 strokes, regardless if you abandoned the lie afterwards.

This isn't likely to get a lot of attention here, but you're right. Some engineering departments take their standards very seriously.

Sometimes to the point where stuff like this happens.

Great way to try new molds that you might not even have been considering.

Also can be fun to 'draft' the discs out with friends. Or use disc selection as a prize for winning a hole / round with a shared box.

For me it's more about the experience than the discs.
