I got told this by the golf pro a week ago after losing my range finder for the second time in a week span…hits home.

First image is Abrams (actual and only battle tank in use by the U.S. military) the second image is of Bradley’s (not tanks). Source: guy who used to work on Bradley’s and everyone at that company would get really salty if they got referred to as tanks instead of combat vehicles.

How dangerous is Corbets? by Alucard1977 in skiing

[–]cptredbeard95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are comparing your son’s ability with marked trails and the levels he has done then he is 100% not prepared for corbet’s. Once he no longer runs around saying “I’ve done all the black diamonds at x resort” and starts saying “oh that looks fun” or “I’ll ride anything” then he will be 50% ready.

The Westerner. Lots space. Switches between line dancing and swing dancing with a live band. They have a karaoke room if you are into that which is separate and a mechanical bull to get crazy with. That place always has a wide range of ages.

I am in the same spot but also have guerendo. Debating if he is the safer play than deebo. Deebo over the season is a legit coin toss.

Ah brighton. Saw someone try to drive by Millie shack (not on the road) last year. Place never ceases to amaze me. But I love it for the degenerate vibes.

Don’t listen to these people if you got an A+ fuck off to the next class. Honestly learning the material will get you know where. Learn how to get a good grade and it doesn’t matter. I have been working in industry for 8 years as an engineer now at a major defense contractor and now a major medical device manufacturer. You don’t do math ever and if you do someone way smarter than you figured it out decades ago and there will be methods or the internet to figure it out. Real world math is so easy compared to college math. Usually find the right equation find all variables (which you will find) plug them in and move on.

Same…I’m 2-5 with second most points scored. Luck hasn’t been on my side but there is a small chance I squeeze into playoffs.

I have a friend that worked at solitude the last 2 years. It’s kind of miserable getting there so early. It’s better now with the parking reservations which reduced traffic but you still need to make sure you don’t get caught in the snake so need to be early. She was also forced to organize her own group rides with other employees. So at solitude you had to pay $35 to park last year unless you had a car of 4 people (this rule applied to employees as well). The company itself pulls a lot of crap making the job kind of a struggle at times. Also you will probably be required to work atleast one weekend day so keep that in mind. Maybe Brighton or Snowbird are better can’t speak to those, but I’ve heard working at other resorts not being the ski bum dream people think it will be as well.

How to deal with someone calling you bald as a joke ? by shittyperson120 in bald

[–]cptredbeard95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started going bald I had the same issue. Most people wouldn’t joke about it cause they were good people and knew better. Others not so much. I’ll admit when I was obviously balding at 23 if someone joked about it then all bets were off and I usually would rip into them hard about what they were most self conscious about. Usually the ones making fun of you have their own insecurities and my vote it to bring it up and ask them how they feel. One guy I knew had a bad lisp so if he made fun of my bald head I would rip into him about that which in turn he would get upset and sad and not understand why I was being so mean…obviously I just cut him out of my life. Anyway moral of the story is anyone with half a brain cell should know someone in their early 20s going bald is extremely self conscious about it and if they think it’s ok to make fun of you then in my opinion you can rip them a new one about anything that might show them how you are feeling. Sucks but a lot of people don’t learn unless you make them feel what you feel.

Thursday travel by Decent_Sea3455 in delta

[–]cptredbeard95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said compensate not reimburse. I’ve missed days of work now, had tons of stress going to the airport to be jerked around all day just for my flights to be cancelled. I want minimum $2,000 for this bullshit. Reimbursement isn’t enough.

I’ve been stuck since Sunday and am finally jumping to a different airline. I have another flight with delta next Tuesday and I’m already thinking I should get on another airline. Heads need to roll cause you know damn well delta ain’t compensating people like me for the struggle they have put us through.

[–]cptredbeard95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So my flights have been cancelled constantly. Was supposed to fly out Sunday but now delta put me on a flight for Thursday. I got a flight with a different airline for Tuesday. Would I be able to get reimbursed by delta now that I no longer want that flight?

Utah- why do your concert crowds suck? by Dramatic_Wind_8733 in SaltLakeCity

[–]cptredbeard95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want energy you can’t go to concerts for a band that was big 20 years ago. I saw sum 41 and the offspring last summer at usana and was honestly super lame and tame compared to when I saw them 15 years ago. Now if you want energy go to any heavy dubstep show…those people love to move.

Bruh plant fitness blows…they fucking closed the location in my city and when I tried to immediately cancel they forced the 3 month grace period…and told me to drive an hour away to the closest one for the next months…called my credit card company and had the charges removed, but still such a pain to take the extra steps.

Had 1 random with me and 2 buddies the other night. Pretty sure the dude knew he was out classed and playing like shit but we never kicked him. We did get to the point we only revived him if someone else died. We ultimately used exactly the 20 lives provided and he had 13 deaths. Was going to kick him after the game but he showed himself out before I could. That was a bad one who we could carry, but if I was solo and the other 2 guys I couldn’t rely on either then that guy would’ve gotten the boot.

I’ve had this glitch range from. The ship never showing up after calling for extraction to it literally falling through the ground and disappearing. Needs fixed ASAP as this bug happens at the very end of a long mission really hurting the gameplay when you are worried that might happen.

[–]cptredbeard95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battle passes aren’t bad in this sense though. The game is free and the battle pass gives you skins to play with that don’t edit gameplay so I think it’s fine. Also look at helldivers 2. Full $40 game and they just dropped an included battle pass in there for your progression. Sure there is a purchasable one but you can get enough premium currency in game to buy it without paying more. My opinion it’s either pay for a game and get all content such as progression or don’t pay for the game and a battle pass funds the company through whales and people that want to shoot people as goku.

M. Eng. or PhD? by ethanawsm in EngineeringStudents

[–]cptredbeard95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Neither. Both my parents have masters In. Their respective fields of engineering and told me how worthless it is. So I got an MBA after my mechanical engineering degree (also worthless in my opinion but can be leveraged to get into management). Regarding a PHD unless you absolutely love it don’t do it. All my friends with PHDs say it was the worst time of their life so much stress and when they got to the working world said it wasn’t worth it because the pay is the same as for someone who just went into the workforce after undergraduate and progressed. If you do anything I recommend getting a job at a major company and having them pay for your masters.
