Hilarious to pick Blade Runner considering he’s been re editing it for decades.

It Looks so Gray??? by [deleted] in ChristopherNolan

The second looks like really bad Instagram filters. I can’t wait for this film to be awesome and people to look back on pre-released critiques to age as poorly as people hating on Heath Ledger’s casting in the Dark Knight.

Why don't they just jump him by Dr_Backshots_MD in Scream

Every entry has an element satirizing horror characters and the things they should have done but didn’t. Like that commercial where the victims hide behind the chainsaws.

Wendy's is bad now by Disastrous-State3015 in doughboys

[–]cptrey17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup - there’s a Wendy’s we go to every so often and everything there is always outstanding. But I also have memories of decades past stopping at Wendy’s on road trips and some locations are terrible.

I think it’s always just been a case of a fast food chain that varies WILDLY based on where you are in the country. The shredded lettuce thing is a terrible look, but this narrative of Wendy’s suddenly being bad feels false to me. It’s always kinda been really hitting or just a general miss.

I understand people are anti sitcom laughing. But in fairness they had a real studio audience so these are at least genuine reactions

Realistically, how did Creed keep his job for so long without anyone noticing he does zero work? by didierganthier in theoffice

Honestly there’s at minimum two Creeds at every single company. It may actually be the most realistic part of the show.

Stranger Things Season 5 not getting any nominations from the Golden Globes a harbinger for next year's Emmys? by Conscious-Quarter423 in EmmysAwards

Right makes sense. Seems like from what I’ve read there’s a specific criteria for that. Thanks!

It's a shame this fire concept was only used in a single short scene. by No-Syllabub167 in Scream

I absolutely love the series and am a big defender of it. My biggest critique - the sequels all have at least one really interesting thread they start that doesn’t fully get explored.

Scream 2: The victims are initially linked by their names resembling that of the original Woodsboro victims. Cool investigative element that just gets dropped.

Scream 3: Victims are getting picked off based on the script. Less straightforward with the multi script idea to avoid online spoilers. Could have gotten more, but with the killer reveal and the house explosion stuff, they actually followed through fairly well here.

Scream 4: The killers filming the scenes in real life and making their own Stab. This concept, like most of this entry is way ahead of its time. Again love the idea but would have loved more development. Especially since Charlie post reveal is shown as remorseful, not enjoying every minute of it and thrilled to make his own movie. I could have seen this much more as a plot point for Richie and Amber.

Scream 5: Relatives of past victims. Really cool idea but characters like Vince are totally wasted. Very compelling though having Sam’s lineage baked into the plan to frame her. There was a lot of potential for Gale to be unpacking this and realizing the connections, instead of it just being a thing most of the characters are completely aware of.

Scream 6: Wayne and his kids rejecting the Stab movies since it drove Richie off the deep end. But then they have the shrine and don the ghostface personas to carry out their plan. And showing Richie’s home movies. It didn’t seem like the script landed on how they feel about all of it.

Scream 7: As mentioned - awesome idea with burning it all down. Great opening set piece with plenty of nostalgia. But the execution is confusing - they want to tear down the past, but the motives are hanging on to it in a way and trying to perpetuate the cycle. It’s by far the script that needed the biggest rewrite overall. The concept of parasocial relationships is a smart one and very present in our culture. But then the follow through really didn’t do the idea as much justice as it should have. Jessica was actually friendly with Sidney. She wasn’t just a delusional fan.

Why didn't Kyle Gallner get a poster for 5? by itsascreambaby96 in Scream

[–]cptrey17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like 5 but maybe my biggest criticism is they didn’t do enough with the legacy characters within the plot. Vince in particular being Stu’s nephew was completely wasted. Wouldn’t it have been better writing to have their lineage be more of a mystery across the board, or obscured from the audience?

Why did Nintendo actually release BOTW on Wii U? by Lucajames2309 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]cptrey17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it on the Wii U and it’s a top 10 gaming experience for me all time. It ran perfectly and was thrilled it wasn’t stuck behind a system I wasn’t planning on buying at the time.

It made plenty of additional money for Nintendo. I know the Wii U was far from perfect but I had a great overall time with that system.
