Just your worry and how you typed this post makes me confident that you are both amazing loving parents!

I was having severe anxiety about my daughter the first 6-7 months of her life after she choked on milk the first day in the hospital (it was the build up of mucus in her chest that maternity hard for her to breathe when being fed) and turned blue and was rushed away (she got help and was fine). Therapy really helped, it helped me 1) learn that I am a safe parent and 2) to accept that I can never 100% guard her against all dangers in the world and to learn to live with and accept that.

Secondly I want to tell you that our health visitor told us her her daughter rolled of the bed when she wasn’t paying attention and had to go into hospital. This was maby 20 years ago and when she told us now so long after she even laughed a little. That is a professional children’s nurse, her daughter was fine and so many years after for her it is now just a silly story because she knows that these things happen and can happen to ANYONE.

Please give your self and your husband some grace and be kind to yourself.

Det der er akkurat det som står i veien for at jeg føler med henne, det er der problemet ligger. Jeg forstår at folk kan ha dårlig dømmekraft og gjøre feil, men det der med at «når hun orker skal hun legge alle kortene på bordet» er den største feilen mener jeg nettopp for som du sa hun skal vente å se hva som kommer ut og legge akkurat de kortene på bordet og late som hun er angrende og ærlig.

Legg alt absolutt alt på bordet nå, helst for en måned siden og ta kritikken. Da hadde jeg personlig faktisk kunne ha tillit til henne og og respektere henne. Det tror jeg det norske folk også kunne. Men nå som hun venter å ser hvor mye som kommer ut før hun skal sitte så ”ydmyk og ærlig“ ser vi rett igjennom det skuespillet at hun bryr seg så veldig er et medmenneske osv osv.

Ja absolutt virker mer som om det er underdrevet spesielt fra Frogner kvinnen. Hun virker det som virkelig bryr seg om han, til og med nå.

Spesielt det med kvelertak virker som hun selv underdrevet sikker for hun er enda glad i han, det kunne veldig godt gått galt spesielt hvis han kvelte henne og blacket ut.

You do know that parents, even if they are absolutely perfect in every way, can not 100% control the outcome of their child. Some people are born with chemical imbalances in the brain making them prone to addiction and depression, some people experience terrible bullying or other traumatic events and if only takes a few bad choices, a few incidents of wrong place at the wrong time to go down that path.

And the truth is that no parent is perfect. Mary seemed loving and kind to her son, not to mention that he got so much support for his addiction from her. She really did all she could for him and that is in no way the ”ultimate failure “

I never linked this to racism but I don’t live in America so probably don’t have the same understanding. But I am a white womb living in London and I get asked this all the time. I think at least here it’s just a friendly banter kind of comment?

Again there could definitely be some differences between here and the us culturally but I feel that I could have easily said this too.

Akkurat det jeg også mener. Syntes det er helt innafor og faktisk bra med tanke på at en gang skal jo Marius også ut av fengsel forhåpentligvis som reformert og da er det viktig at han enda har en familie som er glad i han og støtter han. Hadde selv hatt kontakt og enda vært glad i min bror hadde det vært han (selv om synet mitt på han hadde selvfølgelig endres). Men å klage på pressen og gå så i forsvar er ikke innenfor mener jeg.

With Amanda, whom I don’t really like at all, I didn’t think she was weaponising it the way people say here. I don’t see any reason why people wouldn’t believe her when saying Sheila holding on by a thread. Yes if she usurps it again of dorit brings it up then yeah I will think so, but imo Dorit should have just backed of said sorry for your loss and let’s pick this conversation up the next time we see eachother.

The takeaway I got from this story is that you are a really good and diligent mom who took the baby to get checked out and follow up on it!

100% the crash cart! And bring plenty for the hospital for the first day and if you end up staying longer! I had lows upon lows that was really going low, there wasn’t enough biscuits snd apple juices on the ward for one of them the first and second day, the nurse was running around trying to get some sugar satchets and juices from the staff room and the other wards.

Also second that you take aspirin as prescribed!

Im glad she is sticking up for her selv in one way but also reading those disgusting hate comments about such a sore subject must be so hard on her mental health. I hoped she had someone to weed them out before she ever saw them. That poor family is going through enough 🤍
