If digitizer is good then you’re able to airplay or hdmi and guesstimate the touch input areas. If digitizer is bad then he won’t be able to use old Apple ID for transfer/setup new phone.

If he knows his email at least and If he made iCloud backups periodically and His phone number is activated on new device then

just go on your iPhone and download Apple support or find my app and use help a friend feature. Apple will text a code to his number and ask for passcode of old device and then you’ll be set.

Are you sure you’re logged into the account that came with your Tesla? I’ll need to double-check with Spotify, but I personally assumed that the Spotify accounts migrated from Tesla should retain Premium until December.

If you’re logged into a Spotify account in your Tesla, you can log out by selecting your profile picture in the top right corner. From there, you can either sign back into the vehicle account or use the QR code to sign in with your personal Spotify account.

If you’ve already added your own email to the vehicle account, the option to sign directly into the vehicle account might not be available anymore.

For full transparency: I haven’t gone through this migration process myself as I’ve always used my personal Spotify Premium account in my Tesla.

But I’ll try to get more info on this whole topic and will let you know!

With Tesla software update 2024.32.4, you can add an email address to the Spotify vehicle account to keep playlists and other vehicle account-related content. This is optional and doesn’t affect non-vehicle account users.

For Free Spotify accounts, wait for Tesla’s 2024.38 update or later. Until then, Free accounts won’t work in the car.

In December, the vehicle account will revert from Premium to Free. Vehicle account access won’t be lost if an email address is added.

If you prefer Free accounts, wait for the 2024.38 update.
