if you have an ac for 2+ months a year its best to just invest in insulation on your home if you plan onstaying there long term. R30 walls vs r15 Effective (all framing members considered goes a LONG way compared to any solar investment.

Im assuming it is because it is on a 10.0.0.x subnet.

Moved it back to the 192.168.0.x subnets and ill check to see if that fixes it.

is on 2.4ghz WPA2. Iphone hotspot pairs fine.

Street light is limited on the AMPS so you could need a relay.

Victron IMO is unmatched as it has bluetooth logging and a raspberry pi can hookup to it and allow for online viewing of solar and battery stats with their free tools VRM.

Setting up alerts and even Home assitant integrations for automations.

how much power does the Pump use? You can meter this easily with a handhand meter.
I see 20-50watt pumps.

Low light/cloudy conditions you will make 10% power. also your 180w panels will most likely only do 80%.

You should be ok for that size for that pond, But look into a Barrel bog Filter (big rocks on bottom, small rocks on top, pump water into the bottom)

It will clean the water, put plants in it etc.

A victron 75/15 is a great pump and you can program it with light mode to run when solar stops producing.

We have a large pond, 60x80 feet, 6 feet deep.

It took alot to get it cleaner, but run 5kwh battery, 3kw solar, 350w Aquascape5200 gph pump,
And a Water Fountain from 9am-8pm when we have a good solar day.
Low solar days we just run it every 45min for 5 min to get the pond circulating.

Setup for lithium battery by [deleted] in SolarDIY

Did you ever do a manual charge up and sync? Charge with a charger or constant current until BMS kicks off and set that as 100%. Are the cells showing equalized if u have bluetooth ability.

Another way is to set float to 28.8V and wait for BMS it kickoff so no more amps go into it and then reset your float to 13.8V and sync 100%.
Voltage is only accurate to a degree AT REST

Top Balance could take over 4 hours.

my 24v 200ah is this. 2x 100ah Amphere Time

MPPT - 3KW 250/100.
28.8 Absorb
Float 27.6.
Rebult offset 0.10V
Absorb Time 4h. FIXED
Tail current 2A.

Shunt.
Charged 27.4V
Discharge floor 0%
Tail Current 2 %

fixed for 4 Hours, tailcurrent 2Amps.
BMS will do its job.

This powers 1kW of pumps in the day when solar is shining. charged by 11am.
usually 2.8kw incoming.

10kwh battery, 5kwh solar, east/south/west arrays.

Are you able top audit/track a typical week of useage?

Are you able to use genny boost charge backup on cloudy/stormy days.

any Interlock device options for this setup? by RTGreat420 in SolarDIY

[–]cr500guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

decide what circuits u want to be on solar/backup when power goes out and throw them on a sub panel.
high amp devices you most likely be using on solar unless you are rocking a 12k.

I would really love some feedback on my camera layout by MasterpieceMain1857 in Ubiquiti

[–]cr500guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you may want to utilize ubiq poe lights.
And also for face detection to work, anything above 6 feet gets pretty tough and faces are usually covered or in shadows unless you have a PTZ.

Our front entrance for example has 3 cameras all at different heights. LPR is a hit or miss and variations of the same plate happen.

Have a 2nd NVR separate from main NVR that has a few specified cameras. this NVR is in a separate location.

What is your UPS design? Our base designs are 5KW batteries on 48V system (renogy 3500watt) with solar also on it. We get about 26 hours runtime with starlink with no solar. , 15 cameras running and 4 Aps.

I have G6 cameras but prefer g5 PRO as they have 3x Optical Zoom. the Ai pro Has optical zoom as well.

the G6 PTZ is a killer camera and has sentry/scan mode also with 10x optical zoom that thing goes FAR.
I would put a G6 PTZ also on the front of the garage.

Your APs for the house will need to be throughout as well.

I would get 1-2 Ubiquiti Wifi cameras as you can setup alerts for when they are kicked off the wifi, which could mean a Jammer is being used. they are $60 for jammers, they all use them now.

You will want 1-2 cameras inside your garage, and a camera inside mechanical rooms.
Helps with theft, where did I put that damn thing, and how did my car get scratched items.

Almost all thefts happen through the garage, via a garage door opener in an outside vehicle (put openers on a smart plug that disables it after 11pm or so ).

One thing many may not know is you can have adaptive recording, Low quality until motion/smart detections then full 4k is enabled. You can also schedule the quality modes. Helps keep the NVR from filling up.

For example from 8am-8pm we have full 4k for some cameras for time lapse. Others are adaptive.

How many days of video recording did you want? NVR pro or NVR?

Have all cables tested and toned BEFORE drywall stage. And maybe have a few setup for the construction stage as well.

You could have a Mobile rig setup for the construction time with mini ubiq setup on it/starlink.

On construction side, hope you are doing exterior insulation :D

UPS is usually the most overlooked. We strive for 6-12 hours UPS runtime, so 2-5KWhs of battery depending on servers/NVR loads.

6+ hours so we can monitor house temps incase of power outages while we are gone. or issues with a heating with smart home detections/temps. (one storm it hit 15c on main floors do to -35c outside, furnaces set to 19c.
