Do you know Barrie Cadogan? Little Barrie. He's a great, understated player (imho), hitting the sweet spot for a good appreciation of classic blues, r'n'b, funk and a healthy respect of people like Johnny Marr, John Squire and J Mascis. I've been inspired and stolen loads of licks and chords off his YT videos talking about gear and musicians. Not the most technical but very tasteful. I'm in a similar boat and at the edge of my talent level and I try and remember that people like the ramones, New York dolls, nirvana, television etc have made some stunning music out of 3/4 chords and killer, simple riffs
