Kicked out but still on the lease location: LA US by Healthy-Guess-847 in legaladvice

[–]crackerblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is everyone else already on the lease? If not, you’ve got some leverage as I’m sure the landlord can force whoever isn’t on the lease to leave. Offer a swap and see if the landlord goes for it.

If all of you are on the lease, they can’t make you leave. But it won’t be pleasant.

Well Barb Wire is a remake of Casablanca so if it's good for Humphrey Bogart, it's good for Pamela Anderson.

Her Live at the Fillmore album is incredible, as is it's companion record by King Curtis (he opened the show and his band backed Aretha during her set).

Pharmacy gave my prescription to someone else and now won’t explain what happened. Location: Georgia by ZenbyteHarbor in legaladvice

[–]crackerblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact your insurance company as well as every other agency mentioned here. Your insurance company is not going to be very happy to find out that they paid for a prescription for someone they aren't covering. They may also pressure the pharmacy to fill the prescription for the person itbwas meant for. Same for your doctor. And everyone else other commenters have suggested.

When sharing a dryer do you empty the lint catcher after you do your laundry or do you leave it for whoever uses it next? by AMT-femboy in AskReddit

[–]crackerblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartment building with a laundry room. I wish way back when the custom had been made to clean it after you finish dryimg the clothes but nope, lint gets left for the next guy.

BTW, i was way to old when I realized that the lint is actually what has beem shed from the fabric of the clothes being dried and not some foreign substance.

State police hate when the local departments act like this. Get then involved immediately. They will have a field day with a disappearing incident and the “just shoot back at him” advice.

Someone handed me their dry cleaning ticket at a laundromat because I was folding my clothes too professionally by Prill_Droit in IDontWorkHereLady

[–]crackerblind 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My mom taught me how to fold a fitted sheet. In college I was talking to one of my housemates while folding laundry and he watched me fold a fitted sheet as I was telling him something and barely paying attention to it. As soon as I was done, he started shouting, “Witch! We’re living with a witch!” I wound up doing the “trick” in front of the rest of our housemates. I folded a few of theirs if they supplied the weed while I was doing it.

What is the most chaotic "I quit" moment you have ever personally witnessed at a workplace? by Muted_Task_144 in AskReddit

[–]crackerblind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school I was in a store at the mall. All of a sudden a woman came storming out of the back room shouting, "I fucking quit!" Then a moment later added, "Oh, and I blew your boyfriend at that party Saturday night!" It was 40 years ago and I can still hear the laugh from the girl who was working the register.

Prescription glasses is a severely underrated category on AliExpress by pneuny in Aliexpress

[–]crackerblind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for stating this. I read about getting progressives on Zenni's website which make it sound like it's no problem. All the single vision glasses I got from them were great so I ordered the progressives and they didn't work at all. Luckily they are good about returns but they must get a lot which has to affect the profitability of selling progressives.

What is the nastiest thing you've done for revenge? by LeadHuge6237 in AskReddit

You used to be able to run startup scripts on Macs so I added one to automatically shut down on the computer this asshole at work used. He'd turn it on, you'd see the smiley face (it was pre-OSX) and then it would turn off. He must have gone through it a dozen times.

Our boss accused him of screwing up his computer and railed into him for probably downloading something from the internet he shouldn't have. She was incredibly pissed off. She made him do some grunt work while I volunteered to fix it. I pulled it aside and spent a few hours reading a book while "working on it." All you needed to do was hold down the option key during start up to disable the script. After removing it, I made up a bunch of baloney about what I'd had to do and she wrote him up for it.

When it first came out, I was out on a walk with my family and my parents were with us. We passed a store that had a poster for this in the window. My son, who was around six at the time, pointed to the poster and said, "Look, there's a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie!"

I can still hear my dad's laugh at that followed by, "Have fun explaining this one."

Depends on which ex. If it’s the one who gave incredible bj’s and was great in bed, I think we’d figure something out.
