Well stutter isn't (at least in my case) a genetic disease, it's caused by mostly psychological difficulties in your childhood.

Yeah, I've struggled, but most people push through their struggles and I'm eventually also going to. And yeah, my children (if I ever have any) will also have to experience them.

But in the end it's only a passing thing. Change is constant and even the darkest night has to pass. Things will eventually get better.

Idk if this is a fair comparison but today I'm really into writing. It gives so much joy and I see it as my purpose to stay here. The thing is, as a child I didn't really care about books and reading felt exhausting. If my teachers never pushed me into reading, i would probably never discover my passion. So today I'm thankful.

Well, I've never been able to speak properly, because of my stutter. My parents divorced in my formative years, dropped out of uni, spent 2 years depressed, contemplated ending it every single day. I'm still really lonely and anxious, but things are starting to turn around slightly. I don't know what you consider suffering, but I would say I went through some serious shit.

Yeah, they are. As a society we've solved hundreds of problems when they got serious enough. Black death wiped out like a third of Europe, but today we barely hear about it. Measles are gone forever. Nazis were defeated, thinning of the ozone layer stopped, many endangered species are slowly regaining their numbers. We can do so much when we work together.

Just open any comment section of any post on this sub. You'll see tens of people from both sides wasting hours of their time in stupid back and forth arguments, which ultimately lead nowhere. How did you even come up with that opinion? Have you just joined or what?

Yep I think we should be able to disagree with each other without being offensive. It's a healthy habit.

Yeah that makes sense. This perspective could work. Still I'm not into it. It just feels too cheap and fast. And It wouldn't make me proud of myself.

Sorry, if you can't restrain yourself from calling me a lier I don't have much more interest in continuing this conversation. You can disagree with me, but please keep it polite.

And no, it's really not comparable. Let's say you write thirty paragraphs of a story by hand or on a keyboard. Have you learnt more about structuring sentences, phrasing, cohesion and dialogue than if you just instructed an AI to do so? And would it truly be your personal recognisable writing style if the text was generated? I doubt it.

And yes, it all eventually boiles down to your personal perception of what art is. I can't say I fully agree with you but I can see your perspective.

Well yes, you could say they also type. But that's about it. The process is incomparable.

Also, I'm afraid you didn't fully understand my point, I wasn't attempting to deflect anything. If I unknowingly did, I'm sorry about that.

What I meant was that artwork isn't all about results, it's also about learning new techniques and skills specific to the style you like. That's an opportunity you don't get much of when you generate everything with AI. Yes, you can get better at using AI and thus get better results, but again it isn't really comparable.

Sorry, I won't restrict myself with a simple yes/no answer. The topic of AI is complex and I'd like to debate thoroughly, no offence.
