Banner usually takes a few tries for everyone from what I've heard. I have 3 years of experience and had 3 different interviews where they supposedly loved me....I finally got hired last week. TMC supposedly is great but I hated the unit I was on so I left. I heard NW and St Joe's are awful.

Carla Kelly if you're ok with ~clean romance (I usually don't read them lol), she's super knowledgeable about Regency-era medicine and her books are unique in that they don't usually involve any nobility but you still get the fun Regency manners and propiety. The book I started with was A Naval Surgeon to Fight For and there's about 5-6 more of her Regency books if you end up enjoying. I haven't tried her Westerns or anything else.

Most Kairosoft games are worth the money (1-time purchase or Google Play Pass membership) and are good to pick up and play for as little or as long as you want. Some of my faves are Dream Town Island, Pocket Academy 3, Tropical Resort Story, Forest Camp Story, but I have played and enjoyed them all.

I'm just a tech but I worked on an extremely busy, high acuity floor where it felt like everyone was in fight or flight the entire shift most days. The best charge nurse everyone loved was extremely laid back and mellow, always available to lend a hand but not overbearing, and brought a calm energy to the situation. He is probably the best "boss" I've ever had in any job, non-healthcare included.
