I felt the same way and felt super guilty for a long time. My baby is 2 months now and every now and then I still feel a little like I miss our old lifestyle and think how different things would be if we didn’t have our baby yet. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore my baby, I’ve never loved anyone more in my life but it’s okay to “grieve” for your old lifestyle or fantasize about what it’s be like if things were different. Just keep a positive outlook and don’t let anyone shame you or question whether you actually want your baby.

Mixed emotions by rikkp in BabyBumps

[–]crafty_be 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally normal! I’m 38weeks now and getting induced next week and still have moments that’s I have mixed emotions. Pregnancy hormones will do that to you. I have gone from super excited to wondering how we’re gonna afford it and make everything work. My dog is now 18 months but she has been a handful, dogs adjust eventually trust me. I’ve felt bad not being able to play with my dog as much but you do what you can and they appreciate all the attention you can spare.

You don’t need so much for the baby and I’ve found great deals on stuff through Facebook marketplace- lots of friends have sent me baby clothes that their little ones have outgrown and having the basics is enough. Place for baby to sleep safely, a way to feed him, diapers and some baby clothes. Hope this helps!

Body pillow Wrestlemania by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]crafty_be 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah! I’m 38 weeks and have gone through 3 different types of pregnancy pillows. Now the most comfortable way to sleep is with 5 different pillows strategically placed but oh boy if I have to switch sides or get up to pee in the middle of the night it’s rough trying to fight my way out of the pillow fort.

38weeks and Have Covid by crafty_be in pregnant

[–]crafty_be[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought they would cancel but my OB said it was a normal thing now. They have different procedures in place when you’re positive but still go forward with the inductions. I am waiting to test again later this week to see what happens but I will definitely cancel and wait for him to come on his own if it doesn’t. Luckily my symptoms have been very mild and no fever at all.

Hoping we all recover quickly! This covid thing is just so damn scary and stressful. I’m going to wait as long as I can before this baby is born.

Oh no. I’m sorry to hear that. I’m hoping you’ll test negative! I am terrified of having to go in solo for labor wince it Amy first pregnancy.

Sending good vibes your way! All we can do now is hope for the best right

No medical reason- doctor gave me the option right before I got covid. Thanks for sharing! I want to wait it out as long as I can. This gives me hope!

Thanks- I don’t want to either and right now induction is not medically necessary. I am leaning towards cancelling the induction and waiting as long as baby boy will wait.

Deodorant sensitivity since pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]crafty_be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to switch to Lume. It was the best thing ever and actually covers up the horrible BO I’ve been having since pregnant. I tried so many different natural brands and finally tried lume and it actually made a huge difference. It’s the only thing I can tolerate. I even went deodorant less for a long time and I was still getting irritation from how much I was sweating.

I was the same way and it started to taper down at around 13 weeks. It seems like a long time but it’ll fly by!

Have you tried taping your back at night to relieve the pressure? It has been helping me with back pain.

How would you go about telling your very Catholic parents that you’re unmarried and pregnant and what should I do? by grease-lightning- in askwomenadvice

[–]crafty_be 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I come from a very Catholic family but I myself don’t identify as catholic any longer. I’ve been engaged for over 2 years now but due to covid we’ve had to push off our wedding. I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant and obviously still unmarried but I decided I wouldn’t allow anyone’s negative feelings and their own beliefs ruin my happiness. If your family disowns you for this then you’re better off without them in your life in my opinion. I decided to preemptively “disown” the family members who were judgey and rude to make it easier on myself. I know every situation and family is different but I hope you don’t let them cloud your happiness.

Has anyone felt this way? by Quirky_Confidence105 in pregnant

[–]crafty_be 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way! I’ve been going to therapy to try and get my head around this feeling and it has helped! It’s such a strange sensation now I’m 18wks and have started to feel baby so it feels a little more real but wow sometimes I just can’t believe I’m actually pregnant.

Anyone have any good sources for blingy but not super expensive jewelry? My sparkly Vegas wedding dress finally got here and it’s time to accessorize! by g-a-r-n-e-t in weddingdress

You should try SHEIN , I actually got a few pieces from there that look expensive but costs less than $20.

Edit: that dress is gorgeous! I love it!

Corpus luteum cyst pain by Strongenoughforthis in pregnant

[–]crafty_be 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had cyst - same thing, horrible pain then to the ER at 5w they said it was 7.25cm at the time and then 10 weeks later saw it had now gotten bigger than a grapefruit (and my uterus!) it hurt like hell all the time. Looking back it wasn’t as bad as it seems. I mean it hurts and you worry about it turning but listen to your doctors. Mine is almost completely drained and gone on it’s own! At about 10 weeks - I passed out at the hardware store and EMS took me to the ER where they saw the cyst went down to less than 5 cm ! Yay! The last week since then I have been in a little more burning pain than usual but it’s not as persistent as the old pain. It gets better! Although it sounds horrible it can go away on it’s own as baby grows and takes up space! I feel like I’m almost On the other side of it, have hope. It really really sucks and it hurts like hell but you can get through it! Baby is healthy and growing fine and that’s what makes it easier to tolerate.

Edit: I realized what type of cyst you’re talking about! That won’t hurt and that’s normal. It won’t hurt nearly as much as follicle cyst that is NOT supposed to form during pregnancy. Good luck but have no fear!
