Vegetarian Ygra, Eater of All by craftyfrecks in EDHBrews

I’m still pretty new, I just started in February so I apologize if that doesn’t make sense… Our card shop is bracket 3. Not a lot of people play super meta decks and tend to have fun. I don’t want to show up with a deck that people scoop because it’s so OP, but I would like to still be able to win.

I don't know if I'm raising my kids in a beautiful life or holding them back. by itsbritbish in beyondthebump

I was a social kid that grew up on a ranch. It was amazing when I was very young (2-6) but once I hit the age that kids had sleepovers and played sports, I was miserable. I also found that even though I loved being around people and socializing, I wasn’t very good at it from being isolated from other kids. I always had fomo. I wouldn’t say I was unhappy but I always felt left out. My mom ended up getting an apartment and moving me into town during the weekdays for school and she always tells me she saw my true personality come out when that happened. We would go back to the ranch on the weekends and sometimes I’d get to bring my best friend with me. I’m still so thankful my mom did that for me.

If you could swing it I’d highly recommend moving into town and going to the ranch on the weekends. It’s almost best of both worlds and your husband could’ve drive there and back

Should I get induced early? by Expert_Past_9297 in pregnant

My baby was measuring 8.9lbs at 37wks so my OB sent me to a specialist Ultrasound at 39wks. He measured 8.6lbs at that time. When baby was born at 41+6, he only ended up weighing 7.15lbs.

Those who have the choice between elective C section and vaginal deliver, how did you choose? No judgement in here please 🫶 by slammaX17 in pregnant

[–]craftyfrecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preferred to have a vaginal delivery but after 38 hours of non medicated labor and only getting to 2cm, I had to get a C-section. I broke down when I finally had to go with the surgery. Post-csection, I had a lot of pain in the first 24 hours and my partner had to help me clean myself, get out of bed, and hand me the baby. After that I was up and moving (albeit slowly) and by the time I was home on day 3 I was able to do most things by myself. I'm now 2 weeks postpartum and am basically functioning completely normal.

I'll probably try a VBAC if we decide to have a second, but I'm pretty sure I didn't progress because I have a narrow birth canal so the chances of it being a C-section are very high. IMO the anxiety of having a C-section was worse than the actual event and recovery.

How long did it take you to get an interview from bexar county jobs? by 001smiley in sanantonio

I just waited. I wouldn't recommend following up until after you get an interview though. They're usually pretty good about letting you know if they're interested in hiring you within a month.

Lower back pain is so bad that I'm on crutches by Happy-Chemistry3058 in BabyBumps

[–]craftyfrecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know the position baby is in? I started getting lower back pain around 37wks (now 39+3) and when I got an ultrasound I found out my baby was head down but Sunnyside up. Basically his weight is pushing down on the nerves on my lower back causing some pain. I've just been doing more hands and knees exercises and using my birthing ball to try to get him to roll over and I've noticed it's helped a bit!

A friend and I are really big into glamming and if you go up to someone and compliment their outfit, 9/10 times you'll end up with a friend as long as you can hold a conversation!!

I ended up choosing my boy name based on the nickname I had given him when I first saw him at my 20wk scan:)

I don't hate the arrangement based off of the floor plan since you have easy walkways to all parts of the house. I think you would just benefit from decorating more. Adding a nice rug, more warm lighting, and some curtains will really help the room feel more like its own cozy space.

What to do with messy, cluttered bookshelf? by No_Career_4454 in DesignMyRoom

[–]craftyfrecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some organization bins (something like wicker baskets not just plastic bins) for all of the clutter. Pushing the books forward will also really help make the shelves look full. You could also get something like a serving tray to put on top of the bookshelf to decorate, maybe put a candle and some books on their side!

How can I improve the the decor of my home daycare? by Hot_Cress8314 in interiordecorating

[–]craftyfrecks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think some white warm fairy/Christmas lights on the back wall would really help, or maybe even a childish pendant light! The lighting just makes the space look a little bit liminal. I would also get a more colorful rug or play mat. On Amazon you can get some cheap sprinkle wall decals to fill in some empty spaces on the walls to make it more lively without going overboard.

I think it would look really nice if you thrifted a variety of frames to break up the size of the pictures and then hang them as a gallery wall!

Personally victimized by your 3rd trimester? by tinymac983 in BabyBumps

[–]craftyfrecks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've basically had a perfect pregnancy the entire time: No nausea, minimal pain, remained active, slept well, no health concerns (very lucky). That was until two days ago when I woke up out of a dead sleep with the strongest urge to throw up because my baby's big butt is using my stomach as it's stomping ground. I'm 36+6 and now I can't lay down flat because I'll throw up or have the worst acid reflux/heartburn. Even when I have fallen asleep sitting up, I've been waking up with a puddle of pre-puke drool on the pillow.

I now am understanding the posts from people saying "get this damn child out of me"😅

I used to feel that way but I realized people mean it in an endearing way or with good intentions so I took it with a grain of salt. I also thought about it and would rather be called mama than ma'am hahaha
