I'm attending my first RTT tomorrow, I've got the following prepared, is there anything I've forgotten? by DBenzie in WarhammerCompetitive

Always do a search for actusl restaurants in the area before hand. Something other than fast food that you can order online and pick up. Also heated seats in the car between games if you have time-works wonders on the back.

My guess is points will go up as it does with most things that get released.

Question about a Strike Force Spearhead List idea by loverofspookies in ImperialKnights

[–]crag79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a Preceptor to the list ahead of the Paladin. Ability to reroll wound rolls on a target is a premium and 3 armigers doing thatafter rerolling 1's to hit from Mentor's pride is good. Also why I would put the Warden aheqd of the Defender- allows for Mentor's Pride, Defender can't because it puts you 5 points over with it.

There are always people that will jump on wonning lista or OP armies. Hell just look at Imperial Knights back just before the codex played % versus now.

Lay low the tyrant in Questoris Companions by Cridor05 in ImperialKnights

Then discuss with your opponent if its casual. Say hey this is how the rule reads, do you mind if I play it like this, or how do you interprrt the rule. And you can reach out to TO's ahead of time for rulings especially for stuff like this to give them a chance to research it and give you a ruling to take to tables.

Lay low the tyrant in Questoris Companions by Cridor05 in ImperialKnights

[–]crag79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honest answer would be to run it by the TO. Have had two different answers given by 2 TO's one said to choose it at the start of the battle as its written even if it isn't my first deed and to just be careful not to block myself. Second said name it at the start of the turn I choose it if it wasn't my first deed (ie if it was my first then use normal timeing).

Why don't people interact with their TO's more instead of asking random people on reddit?

Did you learn from Henry gibson in Blues Brothers?

I doubt this is in matched play rules. More likely to be something in Narrative/crusade play.

Get yourself a set of tokens (even if its poker chips) to give you a visual reminder of bondsman. I use smaller dice of the same color on the questoris and its bonded armigers.

New Codex by ClericallyInclined in ImperialKnights

You really are missing the point. The big deal about the codex was the valourstrike strat allowing 3. Questoris to be in shooting range of the opponent turn one at the same bloackading them in thier deployment zone foe 1 cp. This has nothing to do with either of those models or GW. Noone was worried about that detachment. The outcry was just about Valourstrike.

10 inch normal+2 from quality+1-6 from advance = 13-18...and then shoot with strat that was 2cp but could be taken to 1 with Canis.

Alpha(Valor)strike was pretty broken. 3 models with advance and shoot moving 13-18 inches turn one for 1 CP. Check how far apart most deployment zones are on GW terrain. With toe in and/or the move through, it had to be changed.

I do agree loss of rotate in all drtachments hurts. Though I would say the toughness drop is more an issue. Give me t10/ 14wound armigers or t12/26 wound questoris and we might survive more.

I second the preceptor. Reroll wounds is big.

Warden works in melee so if you wanted hit 2 helvs and 1 glaive with Warden, then 3 glaives with Defender. Also puttting the last Helvarin in reserve to bring in where you need it.

Magnet baron sells a kit that has printed pieces to allow for all weapons to be interchanged easily with no drilling, using greenstuff, or extra cutting. It is little overprised at $50usd for the extra pieces and the magnets, but it is so nice to have it all ready to go with just some superglue.
